I bought these online. The cushion is fantastic and they feel comfortable. However, the shoes feel slightly tight on my feet and there is insufficient room at the front of my toes. I have to return them unfortunately.

If your buying because you have a bunion and need a larger toe box, then buy 1 full size up than your regular shoe (or 2 half sizes up.) your toes will have more room.

These were my first Torins and after having worn minimally cushioned shoes for years, I was looking for something with a little extra cushion. I tried these on at my local running store (in black) and thought they were probably the ugliest running shoes I had ever tried on and debated not getting them for that reason. But they were so comfortable! I have narrow feet, but still love the wide toebox. I've worn mine for almost 300 miles and they are still going strong. I've taken these on some non-technical trails and they handle pretty well for a road shoe. I also have a pair of the Torin Knit which is equally comfortable.

Very comfortable shoe. I didn’t like them for running because of their zero degree to ground. This is my 3rd pair which I wear all day at work. This model has a very flimsy heel when first putting them on and they have added some additional lacing sites The toe box is great particularly as your foot gets wider with age and laxity of ligaments. They are extremely comfortable

Really like the look and feel of this shoe. Unfortunately, it's too short and very narrow. I went up one whole size from my normal athletic shoe, so I will try to reorder this in a men's and see if that allows for more width and a little more length. I would like to be able to try for long enough to see if they are, indeed, going to work for me.
These will definitely have to go back and I will have to go back to the drawing board.

I have been wearing Altra shoes for many years - the Superior, One, Escalante, and Lone Peak. They have been the only company that makes a shoe with a wide enough toe box without the shoe overall being too wide - because I do not have wide feet. Size 11 has always fit me perfectly. I really liked the Escalante for road running but found it did not provide enough cushioning for anything above 10 miles. My local running store suggested the Torin, because I could not find another brand of running shoe that my feet liked. Unfortunately, the Torins are just not working well for me. They are too wide overall and a half size too small. My store was able to get the 11.5 for me, thank goodness, but they are still not fitting correctly. And the color options for this model are just horrendous. So many of Altra's shoes are good-looking, but every once in awhile they choose just the worst designs aesthetically (let's not talk about the One bowling shoes/clown shoes from a few years ago). The look of a shoe is not a primary concern for me, but this one both looks bad and does not feel great. I'm going to have to grin and bear it until I find something new. Altra really needs to get their sizing consistent between models.

I ran & raced through 4 pairs of the Torin 3.0. They were perfect. I almost tried to find one more pair of the 3.0's but then I realized I might as well give the 3.5's a try, since eventually I wouldn't be able to find any more of the 3.0's. I've always worn a 9.5, but I had to get a 10 in these because even though the shoes seem bigger, the toe is different and I needed a bigger size. But they seem huge. They literally look like clown shoes on my feet. Sigh. I also have to tie them really tight to get them to feel like they fit. (But the 9.5's rubbed my toe, so the 10 is correct.) I love the cushion and I'll continue running in them, but I really wish they fit better. I'm not sure what I'll do in 3 months for my next pair...

I loved the Torin 3.0. I ordered the same size 11 in 3.5, beautiful pink color, lightweight. However, my toes were touching the front of shoe. Not nearly as roomy as the previous model. They are going back.

I'm NOT loving the upgrade on the 3.5. About a year ago I bought the 2.0 in the 11 which was a tad small, but doable. Not the longest lasting shoe (maybe a year, and I'm not running in these, just walking) but they are super comfortable and good for my Morton's neuroma. Bought 11 and 12 in the 3.5 and found the 12.0 actually fits better in the length but seems much narrower throughout. In part this seems to be due to the internal/dual lacing system which really snugs things up, maybe too much. This is not such a problem in the heel and mid foot, but it seems like Altra is getting smaller on the forefoot (loved the more "footshaped profile of the original 2.0 way better). The white is also pretty hideous, looks like a giant nursing shoe. Pink although really bright seems to make my feet seem less gigantic, but they only had that in the 11 which was much too short. So, go up at least a half size, I'd say. Tried the Torin 3.0 in a women's 12 which I like better (more like the 2.0) but it is a bit too long. So, my next stop, is to try the Torin 3.0 in a Men's 10, though I've got skinny feet and I'm worried about men's sizing in the heel. Bottom line: 3.5's are going back. I wish Altra hadn't "fixed" so many features. And I REALLY REALLY wish they'd make an 11.5 in their sizing line (Women's 44).

So even though I got blisters on the backs of both of my ankle's 2.5 miles into the run I am still going to give this Torin a 3. The toe box and mid foot is the best yet and I have been wearing the Torin since the original. The shoe is super light and it is fast. I got the black ones and they look so good in person. I know they updated the heel because alot of people were complaining about heel slippage but I never had a problem with heel slippage with the previous versions of the Torin, or the Intuition, Escalante or Superior. So for all those people this version of the Torin may be perfect. For me, the higher, tighter and sort of sharp heel just rubs against my Achillies. I had to take them off and run the remaining 2.5 miles back barefoot. So disappointed that I couldn't keep these. I will just train in my Escalante's and wait and see what the next update brings.

I ordered these in a men's size because they run so small and narrow. The men's size I ordered still was not particularly comfortable. The way the lacing is done seems overly complex and no matter how much I fiddled with the laces, I could not get them where I wanted them.
They are lightweight and that's a good thing. Just be prepared to order at least one size up. For women who like a little more room in their athletic shoes, try a men's size and see what you think. That certainly helps solve some of the problems with shoes for me. Additionally, I would like to have seen more padding along the collar area on sides.
My search continues. Thanks to Zappos, I can still try to find something that works for my horrid feet.

They look huge compared to older model torins Torin 1.5 is still the best in my book. They are hard to put on, but are comfortable.

Ugh. These shoes looked so inviting but alas the lacing system is not ideal for my feet. The way the lacing system is currently set up makes for a very tight mid foot and creates blisters on my arches. I tried different sizes in the men's line and my go to size in the women's line - nothing fixed the problem. It always felt tight and created friction. It would be helpful to have the new lacing system removed to add more volume in the shoe in the mid foot area and double check on the sizing length.

This is my 2nd pair of Altra Torins and I loved the first pair but this one is different!
First, what I like is the cushioning, and the light weight. What I HATE, is that they are so hard to put on. The back of the heel is soft, no support and they just collapse when I try to put them on. And the loop
On the back is so small I can't get my finger in there to help pull them on! I found a hook from my mixer that I thread through the loop to get them on. I wear them for work, I'm a Nurse anesthetist, and I joke with my husband that putting these shoes on every morning is the worst part of my day!

I LOVE altra. I have run through at least 3 pairs of torins. WHY OH WHY did you have to change them? I'm so sad. They are huge compared to the old torin. I even took pics of each shoe on my feet to compare. They are like walking around in bubble wrap canoes. I feel like the new lace up on the tongue also makes it hard for me to get the shoe on. Its so strange. I'm so incredibly disappointed in the changes you have made to the torin. I will always stay with Altra - but the torin will definitely NOT be my go-to shoe anymore. So sad. I just hope I can find another model I love just as much.

I wanted to love these bc they are beautiful (pink) but I couldn't even get my foot in the shoe. I believe I ordered 1/2 size too small but there is no way 1/2 size bigger is going to fit my duck feet, especially once I put in my orthotics. I guess I'll have to go back to the boring men's shoes.
Btw, this shoe looks like a normal ( as in every other brand of athletic shoe) shoe with barely a hint of a round toe boxand therein lies the problem.
Returning.

Altra was the only brand that fit my AFO in the past, but they changed their sizing, so they didn't work for me.

I was so excited about this shoe because my past sneakers have all pinched my toes. The open toe box was definitely a relief! But over less than 3 months of running 1-3 times a week (mostly indoors), the shoes are FALLING APART. The seams are splitting, the rubber is peeling, the sole is worn down. They look like my other sneakers have after 3-4 years of heavy outdoor use. I can't believe I spent nearly $100 on shoes that didn't even last 3 months.

This is my 5th pair of Torins, and the Torin 3.5 definitely runs small. I always wear a size 11 and these hurt my feet. I have tried wearing them without socks and they still hurt. Unfortunately, I will now have to look for a different shoe.

Customer service recommended this shoe because they have stopped making the Intuition 4.5. They need to stop recommending it as an alternative because it is not. Even though it is more expensive it is not near as comfortable. May have to look for another brand since they no longer make my Intuition. I'm always curious why companies change good things and loose customers.

I've worn Altra Torins for years, both the 2.0 and the 2.5. I had to size up because I kept losing toenails, and the older models weren't available anymore. I tried the 3.5 and it felt a half size small, even though I'd gone up a half size. I can't size up more because there's no such thing as a women's 11.5. Altra has added so much padding that it doesn't even feel like a Torin anymore. SO disappointed! I need a new shoe.
