I am a male over 40 years of age, who is not in the best shape and hardly ever works out. Having said that, I am 5'7 and weigh about 157 lbs. Although I've been mostly thin my entire life, I don't consider myself to be particularly thin at present and especially not toothpick thin. I read reviews on here from customers who must be in the XL range when it comes to buying clothing. I ordered a size Medium (due to the reviews), got my shirt yesterday in the mail and was dismayed by how large the arms are. This shirt is nowhere near a modern fit like one reviewer on here mentioned. Body wise, the shirt is to be as expected, but the excess fabric and length of the arms is ridiculous. Not even rodeo clowns have shirts with sleeves that balloon out and cover practically the entirety of the hand. Luckily I got this shirt for around $23 including shipping and handling, because I have a tailor I go to that will charge $20 to get the sleeves tapered in and shortened. If you are a smaller dude of a 'normal build' be forewarned. This shirt is not a modern or slim fit. I wouldn't dare leave the house with this shirt as it is right now.

I buy Wrangler shirts frequently, and I have been buying them for years. I got a Wrangler denim shirt, size XLT, for Christmas and it fit PERFECTLY. So naturally I figured this shirt in an XLT would also fit perfectly. Not true. Although it was not advertised as such, this XLT shirt is what Wrangler calls a "Modern Fit," which apparently means it will fit a skinny school kid. Definitely not what you would expect from a Wrangler XLT shirt. I'd suggest that if normally wear a Wrangler XLT and are considering buying this shirt that you consider a 2XLT instead, it will save you the hassle of returning it.

Material is thin and not worth the price. Everything is being returned and I will probably not visit this site again.

Judging from the description, how would one know the fit is "modern fit" which means someone without much muscle instead of classic or relaxed fit.

I bought a mens black denim wrangler retro shirt with snaps. I always buy wrangler clothing been wearing wrangler clothing for years. Got the shirt home took tags off wife put in laundry to wash before I wore it. Couple weeks later get it out to wear and that's when I realized the DANG BUTTONS WERE ON THE (LEFT) SIDE!!! like a woman's shirt. I was so mad now my receipt and tags are gone and I can't take it back and I am now stuck with the only man's shirt I've never bought that the buttons are on the left like a woman's shirt. Very disappointed the shirt was not cheap and now I'm stuck with a shirt I will never ever wear .SHAME ON WRANGLER for such a rotten dirty trick. You have lost a loyal customer with that dirty trick.

Bought a 2XL because the 2XL wrangler short sleeve button down shirts I have fit a bit larger than all my other 2XL shirts but are comfortable. This shirt in 2XL fits like an L around the chest and stomach.

Love the shirt. Fit is great, not too much loose fabric bulge. Only issues is that button fell off the shirt after one wear. I have purchase this shirt previously and i am chalking this up to a manufacturing issue. Hopefully Wrangler will send me a replacement.
