There is no arch support but that is the point. Just a thin flat sole and it pretty comfy considering. The only drawback is that the back of the shoe is a softer mesh like material so they are not true slip ons, you will have to use your hand to pull the back of the shoe around your heel with the little loop. I hope that vivo will make another true slip on at some point but happy to wear this in the meantime.

Bought these a tad large in 41 because 40 was unavailable. As others have noted, Vivobarefoot has narrowed the forefoot. Side-by-side, these are narrower than my old size 40 Ras. Vivobarefoot promotes its "barefoot" shoe designs: wide forefoot, zero heel-drop, zero arch. So, what is the point of eliminating 1/3 of the "barefoot" equation?

For whatever reason, sizing varies wildly on Vivobarefoot shoes, something I find very frustrating. I never know whether I will need a 41 or 42. This time even the 41 is way too big. Also, My older Vivobarefoot shoes have no narrowing of the sole in the middle of the shoe. These do, and I hope it is not a new trend in their designs. I wish there was another company that was as committed to this concept as this one is so that there were more options. The Merrel version comes close but does not have flat soles, which kind of defeats the purpose. And, the build quality of Vivobarefoot shoes certainly does not match the high price points. It is also frustrating that after you find a model that you do like, either they change the design or discontinue it.
