The fleece vest has a slim appearance; it fits well over a sweatshirt or under a heavy coat. It has two hand warmer pockets and a zippered breast pocket to safely secure items. I have used this vest on cool days to keep my core warm without a jacket, and on really cold days to add extra warmth. The vest is very versatile.

I've used it in day hikes and working outside in the fall. Its comfortable and fits perfectly (5 '11" 230 lbs size XL). Lightweight and warm, and I really like it's length.

Good looking and warm. Much trimmer and polished than the usual fleece. Keep making it and add more colors...like a true navy blue or a loden green, The extra length is a nice look on my husband! He is 6 feet, 200 pounds.

I have bought at least 30 items from Smartwool as I bike in Wisconsin winter and the clothing is light and warm so I can easily move and not freeze and this vest is my all time favorite so far.

Everyday, especially hiking, camping. Warm, soft snug fit. High collar really keeps the cold off my neck which I think is a bonus if you're a baldy. Fox Brown color.

This vest is well made. The material reminds me of boiled wool. I find it OK aesthetically speaking but I do wonder how the vest will hold up because the fabric looks a bit fragile -- time will tell. The material of this vest is soft. I've noticed minor pilling in high friction areas which is to be expected with wool. I'm someone who gets cold easily and I bought this vest mostly to add a bit of warmth around my core when I go out in cold weather (-5 Celcius and colder). I wear a zip thermal merino sweater under the vest and use the vest as mid layer under a slim fit down parka. The vest does a fantastic job and provides that bit of extra warmth I was looking for. I actually find the vest almost too warm when the temperature is above -15 Celcius but when I do get hot I can easily dump heat by pulling the zipper down. In terms of fit, I'm 5' 10'' tall, and weigh about 180 lbs. I have a 42'' chest and a 33'' waste. I bought a medium size vest and it fits me well. It's not too snug or too big, with plenty of room for a base layer under it. The vest isn't bulky and I can wear it under a quite snug down parka. So far, I'm happy with the performance of this vest. I do find that it is a bit overpriced for what it is. I've seen this vest on sale for 40 $ less on another website (same year model) but they didn't have the color I wanted, so I ended up buying it directly from Smartwool.

Always cold spouse loves this vest. He is also mostly intolerant of wool, but this vest doesn't cause any itch or sniffles. He's thrilled.

As soon as I put it on it felt very comfortable. Love the vest. I usually buy large in tops. The medium was a better fit as this will be worn over lightweight shirts or sweaters. Will wear a jacket over it for colder temperatures. It is not baggy at the waist like other vests. The only thing I don't like is the rainbow stripes inside the collar when flipped down. I think it is their branding. Will leave collar up. Well made. Good quality zippers. Pleased with purchase.

I bought it in three colors and wear one just about every day - sometimes as the outer layer and sometimes under a coat or heavy sweater. Love the inside pockets and the outer hand warmers. Looks great and functions perfectly!

Bought this vest, primarily, to wear around the house since we tend to not crank the heat way up. So far . . . Mission Comfortable is a success!! The feel of this vest is positively heavenly!! I will, more than likely, be including this vest in my springtime pack for those undecided type spring hike days!!

This product is fairly warm, but it is much larger than expected for a vest. I am 6ft and almost always wear a large in everything and they fit regulsr to snug, but without the sleeves this is really loose and the length is more than most sweatshirts
