I bought these, thinking they were the ponte type fabric that Eileen Fisher uses for many of their pants, but when I received them, they are more like legging fabric. My mistake, and I almost returned them. But when I tried them on, I decided to keep them. They are that nice. Because they have pockets, they're a little more like pants than a legging. I wear these to yoga class and they have lots of stretch that keeps up with movement. The plus side is they have pockets for tissues, because sometimes a tissue is needed after doing breath of fire. I would imagine these would be perfect to travel with and wear on a long overnight flight. I'm glad I kept them, but I took a star off for value. They're quite an investment for leggings. They do wash nicely if you hang them to dry.

I ordered the medium and they were grotesquely long. The item description said 26" inseam and these were at least 32". They were also too loose so I exchanged for a small - the length was good on this pair, but I returned them also, for these reasons: 1 - the color is nowhere near "midnight" - they are navy 2 - the pockets bulged out along the opening, looked ridiculous 3 - the fabric, while nice to the touch and comfortable on, "clung" to my legs after standing up, I had to push them down 4 - they bagged out around the knees All this while just trying on at home. So disappointed! For the price, and for being Eileen Fisher, these were not the quality that I expected.

I purchased these in August. Perfect fit and the fabric is so soft. I love how Eileen Fisher carries several items in the same color so putting together outfits are simplified. Because the pants are so well made, I know they will last.

I forgot that I don't like viscose fabric: too heavy and too slippery. So they're just not right for me. I just wanted navy ankle pants. Fit is true to size.
