I use this as an every day carry for work. Manages my running clothes (including shoes), laptop, two bottles for tea and coffee, as well as my, admitted small, breakfast and lunch with space to spare. I can even roll my rain jacket up to carry under the stairs while leaving sunglasses, wallet, and a few other accessories in it at all times. Feels sturdy and arms will last a lifetime like the messenger bag I've had for some 10 years.

I have been searching for a backpack that I can use for work and travel. I often have to fly for work 10-12 times a year and have to carry things such as my work laptop, portable monitor, cables, portfolio of documents and of course clothing. The backpack is uniquely designed to carry all those items and then some: the expandable zipper makes a huge difference and the interior pockets are a huge help for small items such as cellphones, AirPods, keys, etc. 10/10 recommend even thought the price is a little higher than most backpacks out there.

I like it very much. I use it for business travel and also pleasure.

Timbuk2 is my go to for travel products. I have 2 upcoming trips that this bag will be perfect . Travel documents, cameras and a couple of changes of clothing all fit easily.

I use it for my everyday life. I thought it would be much heavier but not really. I think by the design made the bag feel comfortable even when carried ipad and my macbook pro inside. The pocket give you plenty of room for stuffs.

Gets an A grade. Spent months researching backpacks for domestic and foreign airline travel. I am very happy with this backpack. It has the perfect amount and location of pockets, storage and accessibility. The front, vertical pocket is actually quite roomy - this isn't easy to see in the video. I can fit my purse (sling bag or small crossbody) in there as well as passport, glasses, and all my chargers. Center storage is plenty for personal items and clothing plus my tablet. Very comfortable to wear, even without a waist strap. Two wishes: that is came in a variety of colors, and it had a strap on the back to secure it over my luggage handle.

Excellent bag. I commute to/from work in the city by bike, metro, and bus. The bag fits well and carrie's all I need with me each day. The expandable feature is super handy and the pockets keep all I need with me separate and organized. It would benefit from a key fastener and the front outside phone pocket is tricky to use as I'd like, but those are small compromises.

I bought this bag to use on a two week safari trip to South Africa and it was PERFECT. Pockets for everything (passports, phone, sunglasses), bigger storage area for jacket, camera, binoculars. It was very helpful that it expanded for days with extra gear. Comfortable to wear and carry through airports and in the bush. Can't say enough positive things about it!

This backpack is so thoughtfully designed for optimal travel use, like having lots of easy access pockets and grabbability from under the seat. It can fit a lot of stuff. The first time I flew with it I didn't pack everything in nicely and it was a bit tall to fully get under the seat in front of me (United economy) but on the return trip, I was more careful and it fit easily. As a backpack it is comfy and was so easy to jump on and off trains and hurry up and down stairs. It's perfect for me because I always overpack when I take a roller bag for 3-4 day trips, and this forces me not to bring a bunch of "just in case" things. It also completely relieves my usual stress about boarding early to find a spot in overhead bins. The only thing is that the water bottle pocket is a bit shallow so it feels precarious, although in reality the band is snug enough that I don't think a water bottle is at risk of falling out.

Just all -around excellent bag.

Used this pack for trip to the Beach. Pros: - Loved the interior liner for visibility - pack can carry a lot but doesn't stretch which is probably a good sign for durability - lots of organization pockets ++ - outside zippers seems very high quality - outside straps seem high quality nylon Cons - I thought the clasp system for the front pocket was not really functional. It was a little annoying at times to open and close

Really enjoying the backpack so far. It's build sturdy with plenty of pockets but still a simple design. One feature that I would love to have seen on this is a pass through opening for putting it on my luggage handle. Also, the top handle is attached toward the outside of the bag, so you have to turn the backpack around to hang it up as hooks don't really reach out that far.

Recently purchased and I already love this backpack. Roomy and expandable, with lots of pockets for organization. Feels "dressy" enough that I was able to bring it to a business meeting. As a runner, I have some items I truly never want to check when I fly including my running shoes, shorts, shirt and other essentials and this holds everything as well as my laptop, headphones, books, water bottle and more. Great carry-on bag, very comfortable and the many straps make it easy to grab as I'm getting off the plane

I use this bag for work and I love it! Plenty of pockets for organization, sturdy, roomy, and durable. Plus it looks cool. I do wish the water bottle holder was larger, but otherwise it's perfect.

Travel and daily work commute.

I bought this to travel to a trade show and to Europe for work. This has been a great bag for traveling. Everything seems to be just big enough to fit a laptop and other accessories and necessities for work. The build quality exceeded my expectations. I've liked the front vertical pocket more than I expected. My only criticism is that the mesh pocket inside of that runs horizontally, which makes the mesh zipper hard to reach and use. This pocket should also be vertical or diagonal. The pockets in this same area also seem longer than they need to be. Overall, it's a really great back though.

The bag is fantastic. Easy to pack and comfortable on the shoulders and back. Lots of pockets for arranging my stuff the way I like it and great for traveling. I can fit in 2 days of clothes and shoes. The laptop side zipper is brilliant and super comfortable especially in security at airports. I recommend it as a daily bag and travel bag. It is well built and strudy well.

I use this as my daily office bag and for my travel carry on. Great construction and the front pockets are well designed to keep easy access to passports, chargers, etc while in the air.

using it as my daily bag going to the office with some short domestic travel sometimes. replaced the typical executive leather bag, i have a lot more space now with organized pockets.

I haven't had the pleasure of using this product yet. I first heard of it during a pledge drive from my local PBS radio station (KQED) and now I am glad I made the purchase. It is beautifully made. Clearly a great deal of thought went into the design. My next trip will be in May and I am looking forward to using it!

This is a fantastic backpack. Lots of well thought out compartments/storage. Love the color and fabric. Very durable and aesthetically great.

I previously had the Authority Laptop Backpack Deluxe, which I loved and used for work and travel for years, but I recently switched to the Never Check Expandable Backpack and I'm loving it even more since there's a wider bottom and the expandable zipper so that I can pack even more. Lots of other pockets with little compartments and an easy access laptop zip. The one thing I don't love is the water bottle pouch - my 20oz hydroflask does fit but it's not as easy to slide in and out as my previous bag. I also wish there was a slit in the back so you're able to put it over your carry on luggage handle since this backpack is meant for travel. Otherwise, this bag is amazing and would highly recommend!
