Love these boots!! I have a wide foot and these were a bit snug when I first put them on but quickly gave enough to be comfortable. Great color (distressed grey), love the matte finish too!!

These are my new go-to boots. I received them over a month ago, and I've worn them at least two thirds of the time since then. They're warm and comfortable. I sprayed them with water repellent treatment just in case, and they held up well walking in the rain. They look as good as the day I took them out of the box. I've had many pairs of Born boots over the years and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this brand.

I have several pairs of Born boots. As usual, these are true to size and feel great on. I'm sure they'd be comfortable to wear right out of the box. However, I returned them. I was looking for a mid-calf boot that would be sleeker and/or more dressy than the combat-style I currently have. I found the three buckles just a bit too *there* for what I wanted. But mostly they were too wide at the top, even with the buckles tightened as much as possible. My calf measures 14.5" inches. The product description says that is the circumference of these boots, but I could easily slide a finger between the boot and my leg. It's a personal thing, but I don't like that much gap. I didn't measure them to see what the actual circumference is, sorry.

I purchased the gray color and they are suede not distressed leather. To me there is a difference. So I am returning them for that reason only. I have gray suede boots, but wanted leather for winter weather.

I would have loved these boots so much. They were exactly what I’ve been searching for but alas they are too small for my muscular calves.

At first - I too thought the boot would be too tight - but after a couple days of wear they are breaking in nicely.... I wore them for a bit with no socks and they were as comfy as can be. The lining is so soft and the footbed is the perfect leather that Born has in its sandals. They are not at all insulating in the colder weather. The leather is beautiful but really seems to scuff up easily and will need constant care. I own several pairs of born boots and sandals and am always pleased with the quality and style. Overall I am pleased.

These boots are stylish, easy to don, and look great with skinny pants/jeans. I was amazed that I didn't need my arch-support inserts as I have a low-volume foot with high arches. The heel height is just perfect. To wear wool socks for warmth I needed a half-size larger than normal. The only reason I gave 4 stars for comfort is that the right boot is a tad tight; I'm hoping that will ease up with wear.

I really wanted to like these boots. They're fairly comfortable and have decent arch support, but unfortunately just not enough for me. The shaft is also a little too big for my small calves. Other than that, they're great! Super cute and well made. Just made me realize that I prefer a taller boot. I'll be returning to try a taller style.

I really wanted to keep these boots! I think they are great looking and just my style. Perfect for tromping around the city in the winter. Unfortunately, they rubbed against my upper ankle where the zipper was on the inside of the boot shank. Super uncomfortable. I tried them in an 8.5 and a 9 (I am in between these sizes). The 9 fit better, but again, the zipper digging into my ankle was not working.

The actual foot bed and foot width felt true to size but I bought these because the shaft seemed larger than a typical boot and a lot of reviews suggested that it was but they were actually tight on my calves so I had to send them back. I really liked the style so I was disappointed to have to give them up.

I'm usually a true 7 and the length is perfect, but it is snug on my feet, even with thin socks. I have normal width feet so I feel it's a bit too tight and I actually hope it stretches a bit. It has a nice soft lining and should keep my feet warm.

Loved the look of this boot, but it really dug in just at my ankles. Maybe it would have loosened up a bit as a I wore them but they were so uncomfortable I didn't want to chance it. This is the only pair of Born boots I've been disappointed in! Ended up buying a different pair of black Borns instead.

First of all, I have several pairs of Born shoes and boots that all fit well and are very comfortable. However, these boots just didn’t fit right. I normally wear an 8 in Born. I ordered these in both a 7.5 and 8. One size was too big and the other too small! Never had that problem before. Too bad they have to be returned because the style was really cute.

I own 4 pairs of born boots, 2 sandals, and LOVE them all. These really fell short for me. They run very small compared to others. I own 3 pairs of their boots in 9.5M and one in a 9M and they all fit perfectly. I ordered these in 9.5 and they are WAY too small. Both too short and too narrow in the toes (I have a narrow foot so this is rare). Conversely, the shaft is very loose and unflattering on me. I don't know if I just got a "woopsie" one, or if they're all that way, but these weren't the born boots for me. Definitely not a good representation of their others I love. The Cardi is amazing and fits true to size. The other taller riding boot they released this fall is also great, can't recommend these though.

They sent me size 6.5, but I ordered a size 7! Well that was disappointing that I checked my email confirmation and saw I ordered size 7, but received a 6.5. My feet aren’t wide, and tend to run on the narrow side of the medium width spectrum. These boots felt narrow, but maybe this was because they were too small and my toes were almost touching the end. The length was a little too short. I think the distressed gray color would have been better than the black. Struck out again!

I was very disappointed in these boots. While they were quite comfortable when tried on, they look super cheap and not at all worth the cost. I'm returning.
