Ive been wearing Vans for forty years. These are the best, right out if the box, Vans ever had.

Good pair of shoes. Keep my feet warm. The top of the shoe is hard to adjust and some days I feel like I’m tying them too tight but they seems loose on my feet. I usually wear a 8.5 and got a 9. I worry the the 8.5 would be tighter fitting than the 9 but they may just need to be broken in.

I bought these for my 12 y.o. son who wears a men's size 7.5, as wide as possible (he has Fred Flintstone feet...) We always buy a size larger and then use shoe trees to widen at home, which is a pain in the a$$. I knew the width would be a little tight but we've bought him Vans before and they worked out nicely. But because the shoes are suede and cushioned, the width is compromised and the laces are too short to tie a bow that stays tied. My take: only skinny feet will fit well in these.

I wear a size 9, and my feet are measured at a size 9 (not wide), so I bought a size 9. They were tight at first, but most reviews said they need time to break in. After some break in they are still tight, which is unfortunate as they seem to be a good shoe otherwise. I would order a half size up, or buy at a store where can try multiple sizes.

After wearing two times, the string to hold the shoe laces broke and there is no hole in the shoe to put the shoe lace through. Had to return.
