I wanted to love these boots, chocolate brown 7-1/2 med. However, the shafts were way too wide for my calves, and from the picture it looked like I could buckle them tighter. Well, I could adjust the two top buckles, but even at their tightest the shafts were floppy and wide at the top and I looked like I was a little kid playing dress-up in mom's closet. I could easily slip my foot in and out without even unzipping the side zipper. I wish manufacturers would consider making narrow shaft versions now and then because there is a market out there. Unfortunately I am returning them.

I ordered the 9.5 Wide Black in this boot. It is a very smart, well-made boot and comes with a set of adjustable straps to cinch in the boot in the calf area. The boot has a heel of a little over one inch which I had to search hard to find. Unfortunately I had to return this size because the Wide was not wide enough to accommodate my feet and Zappos is out of the WW. I ended up going up to a 10 in the wide from another company and given the low heel I can still walk well in this boot. I highly recommend the Naturalizer Jessie for it's style and soft leather. Note: If you have thin, flat feet as I do, you may have to add another insole and an arch support to make the boot worthy of a multi-mile walk.

These are nice looking & good for slightly-wide calves, but were pretty uncomfortable in the foot area for me. I got them because of the shaft design. I like the way they incorporated some stretchy material into the design in a subtle, attractive way (not just a giant panel of elastic, like many others). I've gained a bit of weight & my calves have gotten a teeny bit too big for my regular tall riding boots, which have a really slim shaft & no elastic. I tried wide-calf boots, but those are TOO big. So regular-calf + stretch seemed like a perfect solution. And in the calf, these did fit well, with enough give that I know I could have worn them over skinny jeans with no problem. The issue is the actual foot area. I am usually between 8 & 8 1/2, and I got the 8 1/2 in these so I'd have room for thicker socks if need be. But they were really tight with the super-thin socks I tried them on with. Also, very stiff in a way that made me think they wouldn't stretch easily. Too expensive to keep out of hope that they would become comfortable eventually.

I really like this boot! The leather is a bit stiff in the ankle area, so I've been wearing them every day to try and break them in. They do not hurt, or cause blisters. Since other reviewers mentioned that they ran a bit narrow, I got my normal size in a wide which was the right choice, even though I do not have wide feet. I wear heavy socks in the winter to keep my feet warm, so that also contributes to the need for the wider foot. The calf is a bit wide for me, but it's ok, considering that everything else is right on. The boot is stylish, and it helps keep me warm! I'm very happy with my purchase.

really cute boots, nice leather but they are 1/2 size to small

These boots are very nice but they are most definitely wide. I can usually wear a medium but opt for wide if it's available, but these are extremely narrow. There's no way I'd be able to walk in them or wear them for long.

Super cute, quality leather and perfect fit. I do wish the insert could be removed so that an orthotic could be placed but I'm going to try a thinner orthotic to see if it fits. But, that being said, the boot does hold up my pronating ankles pretty well.

This was my first time getting knee high boots. They are so comfortable and stylish! I feel great wearing them. Good product.

Nice quality and good fit

Slightly wide in the calf even tho I ordered a M width. Buckles on the side and bottom are adjustable so that helped a bit. Cinnamon is a beautiful, unexpected color.

These are beautiful leather boots. I ordered Wide, but they were still too narrow for me. My feet are not extraordinarily wide, either, but they pinched my little toes. I tried for two days to wear them around the house, but they were not comfortable enough for my feet. They are beautiful and well made but I sent them back because of the fit.

Such a comfortable boot that adds a nice flare to my wardrobe.

Great quality, value and fit! I needed to buy 1/2 size larger to insert orthopedic arch support.

I bought this pair for my trip to France. They arrives a couple days before my departure, so they were bland new to wear for the trip. I wore them whole time I was in France, which has cobblestone streets everywhere, including Paris. But no problem! They were so comfortable and I walked everywhere and actually drove with them. I got the chocolate color but now am thinking to get a pair of black as well.

My wife really likes them. They fit and look good. Wishes they had black but was out so ordered the dark brown.
