We didn't keep these for the same reason as another reviewer mentioned, the laces are too tight and a boogar to get their feet into. My little still needs help getting shoes on and these are such a pain to deal with that I sent them back. Other than that, they're cute.

Super cute shoes, but pretty stiff. I got these for my 3 year old and they look so adorable, but she has trouble walking in them becuase they are so stiff around the ankle. Hoping they'll loosen up after a few times being worn.

My four year old loves them! They appear to be reasonably comfortable. She can take them off by herself, but the zipper is too stiff for her to close. Ok this year as she is still in a pre-k/daycare environment but would not be good for kindergarten or beyond.

I wish I could love these shoes, but the zipper gets stuck and is a pain to zip up!! Because the zipper doesn't properly zip up these fall off his feet all the time. Buy the velcro or the slip ons instead.

We absolutely loved our Velcro high tops that my toddler wore before we purchased these. We thought we would give these a try and the elastic laces are just too tight to fit my toddlers feet in without just jamming his foot in, even after trying to stretch it out. So disappointed because we feel like the vans hold up for our boy's playfulness.

I like the OG high tops, and have the matching adult pair, and we love them, however, if given the choice I would definitely suggest the MTE style for quality and durability, especially for a kid. The all black uppers and soles just make more sense. (We have them too) That being said, we still love all our vans! Vans are a constant and reliable choice for shoes in our house.

The sneaker is adorable. I bought them a half size bigger, but it was hard to get my grandson's foot in them and hard to zip up. After he wore them for the day the back of his heel was red.

I absolutely love these, but would need to order them in wide. I wish the children's shoes had more options in width's. I even tried customizing them to see if that would work but not for this style.

My daughter wanted to use these as skateboarding shoes, but the laces are very stretchy elastic bands and the shoes come off her easily. They look nice and she loves the style, so I might try to cut out the laces and put in some real ones.

We love Vans, the whole family loves them! So I hate writing a negative review. But this pair, in this color (Shark Party, Pink Icing/True White), despite being adorable, were insanely uncomfortable and unwearable. I had both of my 4 year olds try them on and they could not wear them. The underside of the tongue dug into their feet. We bought another color, same size, at the same time (Chenille, Rainbow/True White) and they were totally fine and comfortable as usual. I think there is a problem with the pink glittery material, it is not very forgiving.

These fit large but are not as wide as the slip-on Vans, which we weren't expecting. The zippers are too hard for my 3-year-old to pull up by themselves (I was hoping these would work for their Montessori school). So cute though.

These are very sparkly - I was surprised how sparkly they were compared to the photos. My 3 yo loves them and we did keep them, regardless. They run a little big. My only complaint is that the zipper doesn’t stay up when she wears them. Most reviews say the zipper is really stiff, which I did not notice.

These look great and my 2 year-old loves the rainbow. Those are pretty much the only reasons I'd get these. The fit isn't great; the tongue is usually squished up when she wears the shoe. It's really hard to get on and off. The zipper is pretty stiff too.

Love how these sneakers look, but do not have your child wear these to school. First day he wore them to school they got so dirty that no matter how good I cleaned them they do not look presentable to wear. Material very hard to clean. My son probably wore these 2x and cannot wear them again.

My son is 4 years old and he has always worn these shoes. The first 2 years we bought them they last 12+ months. The last 2 times however they have only lasted 4-5 months before the soles completely come unglued/stitching falls out. I'm not sure what changed but quality has gone downhill.

I thought the glitter was going to be embedded in the threads as if a metallic thread was woven to make the exterior look glittery. That is not the case with these shoes. These shoes are coated in the kind of glitter that sheds onto everything and gets into your eyes to scratch them to bits, it gets on everything. The kid didn't even wear them, only tried them on & glitter was already everywhere. These shoes will shed microplastics everywhere.
