the color is amazing. first nuptse jacket and loving it, cannot believe how insulated this thing is. keeps me cozy now that the weather is dropping for the year and now i just wanna wear it everywhere. the look is so cool.

I use it mainly for cold weather because I didn't have a winter jacket and this was really helpful for me to "survive" this winter, it is really comfortable and super stylish, I can combine it with my outfits really well!

Greatest jacket for cold wet weather. Love it!

Been wearing these jackets since middle school (14 years) in NYC, perfect for extreme cold/snowy/rainy weather but the material is super fragile/cheap. be careful when walking near a wall or door because this jacket WILL tear if there's a tiny nail sticking out or even dry peeling paint. i've torn a few of mine. besides being fragile, this jacket is amazing. its light, so when you get a bit hot you can unzip it and keep it on or carry it with no problem. it's stylish of course and really keeps you warm. i've worn this jacket in 10F / -12C weather here in NY and didnt wear a sweater underneath and I was still warm! i especially love how it covers your neck! I'd recommend this jacket but just be careful walking next to walls or doors. PS: washing these jackets is a complex and nerve-racking process.

its autumn in New York city- all teens wait in earnest for the temperature to finally drop below 45 degrees. They can finally break it out, the monster in the closet that has been hibernating for the past 6 months- the black puffer jacket from north face. The first cold day arrives, they check their phone- its 42 degrees; brick. They get ready to go out, and on goes the puffa. They check themselves out in the mirror; They are ready. One sniff to the collar- yep it still smells of 4loko and horrible weed. They step out in their city issue puffa, with their thrifted jeans and air force ones. Finally- I can start dressing again.

A must have. You'll never regret owning this. Extremely warm and comfortable. You can wear light clothing under and still be warm when walking through the fierces winds. I have tested this along the coldest Chicago lakefront winds and it never have failed.

I bought one of these when it was first introduced and made the mistake of giving it to my son a couple of years ago for his backpacking adventures. It accompanied me on hundreds off pack trips and look none-the-worse for wear after all those years. I am so glad you re-introduced this classic. I will wear it proudly!

I bought an original 1996 Retro in 2001 when I moved to Colorado. Like an idiot, I gave it away, as I had too many down jackets. Well, last year they came out with a Yellow/Black (Not the screaming bright yellow, the more subtle yellow) jacket and I bought and I am never getting rid of it. I love this, it keeps me warm from the hellacious winds we get on the Front Range. I can't wait to begin wearing it again in the next few month's. Would I recommend this to a friend? Oh yes. I might even go so far as recommending it to a complete stranger

The item I received has a strong chemical smell when I opened the package. The down filling was not as fine as the north face jackets I got years back. What’s more disgusting is that there are obvious white stains on this supposed to be new jacket.
