I bought this dress in black and it fit perfectly. I’m 5’4” and have a pretty straight build. I had so many compliments on this dress that I may buy it in ivory too.

My husband bought me this dress in the orchid color for a golf invitational dinner party. I've never been called "stunning" so many times in my life. It does fit a little strange. I am 5'7 and 123 lbs. and usually I wear a size 4 (small). For the perfect fit, I would have needed this in a medium through the waist and small in the top, but I ended up wearing the small. I felt a bit like a stuffed sausage because of the tightness through the thighs and butt, but again, never have I gotten so many compliments, so it was a win.

I have another Bardot dress in size small that fits like a glove, so was hoping that would be the case for this dress. Unfortunately, the Gemma was visibly too tight on the bottom half and too large on the top. I loved the style, but no option to go down or up a size with the way this is made.

The idea of this dress is great. However, it has a strange fit. The top is very loose on me and the bottom is super tight. I got a size bigger than my usual and it was still tight across my butt and thighs. If you have a larger chest and torso and a small bottom I would recommend.

This dress would have been awesome but the cut of the dress is odd. The lining is a stiff cotton that has no give, which causes it to ride up with minimal movement. If it had a cotton/spandex blend it would have been perfect. Also, the ratio to hip to bust is off, this dress would fit a heavier top and small bottomed individual.

Overall I LOVE this dress. However, it's way too tight/rigid in the hips. I've ordered this exact same dress in three different brands, trying various sizes in all of them...and every single one is too tight in the hips...and I'm not a curvy girl! There is absolutely no flexibility in the skirt portion and you can barely move when this is zipped up. Such a bummer!
