9 and 1/2 is my size, bought 9's. Got the Cap Toe because without it, there's not as much style. These are for casual wear, jeans, etc., although could be dress in the right setting. The strings are waxed and flat without much movement when removing putting on etc. Bought brown/black round fairly large shoe strings. Very easy to loosen to put on and off and personally look better, 54" length, I have a high arch and causes me to loosen it as much as possible to get them on and off. Treated them with some Bick 4 conditioner first after testing on an unseen spot inside. Very cool, just wipe off with rag with Some Bick 4 and good as new. As well the cap toe has Vibram typer soles, much better for outdoors stuff. I am a shoe horse, wear exclusively Alden, their comparable is $625.00. Personally, aside from the money I prefer these.

Great looking boot. Marginal arch, Moore than none but not much. Run a solid 1/2 size large. I have worn an 11 most of the last 20 years. Ordered 11s and was swimming in then. Picked up some 10 1/2 and that was on the money

Personally my favorite all around shoes. Works in any occasion. Great quality and they are made to last. If you have high arch it might hurt the top of your feet as the leather is quite thick & loosening the laces won’t help much. I had to treat mine and stretch em. Took a while to break em in but once broken in they were surprisingly comfortable. Priced reasonably IMHO they’re worth every penny.
