This is a really lovely dress and fits a bit too small. I almost always wear a 14 comfortably. I'm a bit "rectangle" in my shape with middle aged thickness around the waist. The bodice (breast area and rib cage) on this dress is a bit too snug, with no stretch or give. The waist fit comfortably and slight flare in the skirt is lovely. The color is pretty, and the embroidery a bit of gold flash for a dressy occasion. I chose not to order a 16 as I thought then it would perhaps gap under the arms or be too big around the waist. So, a slimmish shape up top would most likely make this a good option for you. I'm very grateful for Zappos return policy and customer care. I live in a rural area and shopping options have all closed down, so Zappos is my go to place for finding something after being able to try it on and return if necessary. Thank you Zappos!

Loved this dress - was perfect for an early December wedding! I was looking for something elegant but a step down from a formal ball gown. Length is great, just below my knees, and was comfortable the whole night. I wore nude heels to keep it simple. I bought a 10 and 12, and wore the 10.

I bought a 6 and an 8. Kept the 6 ( my normal is an 8) Using it for a mother of the bride dress in March of 2019. It fits our vintage wedding perfect.

A lovely dress planned for a late October wedding. The color is perfect! No knees showing and that’s good for me! I do not wear short dresses. It’s generous in sizing but I am not getting it smaller because I want to be comfortable the whole day and night.

Really cute dress appropriate for a wedding or evening out. Swirling fun for dancing. Tried two sizes and the smaller size worked so might be considered to run a little big. Would definitely recommend.

I'm 5'10" tall and have trouble finding dresses that fit since most of my height is from the waist up. Since I am large in the chest I need a 14 for form fitting dresses. The size 14 accommodates my chest but the darts are too high making the chest pucker and the armholes are too big and have a gap. I purchased a bolero to cover these two problems. Also, the waistline of this dress sits too high above my waist. The dress has a slight A-line look and the waist seam is not that noticeable. If I am not able to find a better fitting dress I will keep this because it is very beautiful and seems to be well made.

This is a lovely dress. Maybe the cut was off - it ran slightly wide under the armpit and the fabric at the side of the bust area was a bit bulky. I likely would have used alterations to correct those minor problems, but this dress was also sown incorrectly at the base of the zipper and I returned it.

The fit was good in general, but the style looked a bit frumpy on me. It was also very itchy to my neck and upper arm/shoulders. The Metallic Embroidery was annoying to my eczema prone skin.
