Okay. I ordered a few tims to try. These are by far the most comfortable. I wish they were in the lighter brown. But they are comfy!

I was looking for hiking-style ankle boots, a pair that cute but also comfortable & very practical for upcoming winter trips to national parks & next year to Scotland. Tried several but BOUGHT these. Important to have thick sole that will keep my foot above melting snow or heavy down-pour of rain. Are 2nd in comfort only to Propet’s Delaney. These more ‘clunky’ but work w/ jeans for a cool, anti-diva look! Isn’t clear if suede treated for water-resistance so will either call Zappos to ask, or just treat w/ a spray myself. Wish could buy all colors!

I teeter between 6.5-7 & the 7 was def too big. 6.5 fit perfect. These boots are super cute & super light.

As for reading previous reviews, I was afraid that it will be narrow and uncomfortable, but it was not the case for me. I owe these boots in the lace-free version, and that pair is narrow. However, I broke that one in by now over 6 months. This one with lace is super comfortable and absolutely true to my 6.5 size. The suede is very soft. I ordered the Rust color, but have returned them. They were just dark brown, I was missing that warmer copper, orangish color on them. I reordered the navy blue and they are not vibrant either as pictures show them, but I still like this dark blue better and keeping them.

When I got the box in the mail my first thought was are there boots in here or is this box empty? This new style is less than half the weight of the original Tim 6", is much more narrow, and slightly shorter. The fit of this boot is more feminine with a flat foam foot bed that also takes up space. If you thought the original too masculine this style is the one for you. So that being said I find them overall smaller more feminine than the original (made in a different country). I wear a 7 womens' and boys 5 (I have very high arches and narrow boney feet), and I have several Tims from 90's and early 2000 in 7/5. I followed the advise posted here and order up .5, and it was the right move- so the boot can be worn with thick socks during the winter. The out sole of this boot is not the material of the original sole (which is long wearing), so I have no idea of how these will wear. Those new to Tims might find them more true to size than not, but they (7.5) are smaller than a 7 original style unisex Tim.

These burnt more red then orange boots are the perfect height. The shoe laces have some black in it which I love.
