I have pretty severe plantar fasciitis in both feet and have to wear arch binders under my socks or hosiery, and I've put inserts in all of my regularly worn shoes. I never wear heels anymore because it's just too painful. So I decided to splurge on these because I really miss wearing heeled boots. I wear some 7.5s and some 8s -- I ordered the 8 and I do think they feel just a little smaller than most 8s, but they fit fine. Great arch support! I've worn them shopping for a few hours and out to eat and they feel great. The real test will be my full-time job where I do a fair bit of walking around campus. A lot of other people have left reviews saying the calf width is way too wide -- for me, it is perfect. I do powerlifting and often have trouble finding tall boots that fit over my calves (15.5 inches in diameter). These boots have some stretchy pleats right next to the zipper so they were easy to zip up.

Wide calf, about 17" on size 8M. Calf measurement wasn't in product description. Large foot, narrow toes. Not me!

I’m disappointed that it’s a half or more sizes too small. I usually have the opposite problem with boots and end up needing to size down. Beautiful boot though.

I was afraid to order these because of the other reviews and they don’t come in a wide width which is normally what I order from Vionic. I’ve been wearing them 9 hours and one foot is starting to get a little uncomfortable. Not bad. The shaft of the boot must run big as others reviewed. But I have a muscular calf so they are only a tad lose with leggings. I think they’re great’

Sadly i have to return these even though they are super cute! The calf is just too wide for me and I will stay with the Whitney ankle boot which are fabulous!

Love these boots! Very comfortable. Hard to find stylish boots with good arch support. Vionic is always great!

These boots are gorgeous color and material and very comfortable. Unfortunately, my average/slender calves did not fill the boot shaft, and the result looked comical - like Wellies as other reviews have noted. Have to return as not the sophisticated look I intended. Too bad as otherwise I would have loved these boots.

I received compliment after compliment on these today, my first day earthing them. It was wet out and no stains on the suede. I buy 9’s in everything else but 8 1/2’s in Vionics and.once again, perfect fit. I wore 8 1/2 all my life until I got older and I guess my arches fell? One minor problem: the boots cane with one incorrect size innersole but Z is exchanging.

I wanted very much to keep these boots, because they are beautiful and comfortable. However, the calf is comically large and there's no way I could actually wear these boots.

The fit was true to size in the foot, but the calf portion was too wide in that there seems to be a gap behind my calf and the boot. Hard to describe but didn't like that part of the fit and it was not comfortable for walking. Otherwise I did like the boots. The leather is soft and the heel is nice and reasonable in height. The suede is not slouchy which is what I was hoping for. These would've been great if not for the fit of the boot shaft.

I love Vionic shoes and own several pairs in different styles. I have been on the hunt for the perfect pair of knee high boots that can be worn year round and in the rain. I have plantar fascitis, achilles tendonitis so when I'm looking for shoes, they have to be comfortable. When I ordered and tried these boots on, I was hoping that I found the perfect ones. Unfortunately, I returned them because the arch support was in a weird place and the calf part did fit my 16"+ calf, but it was sticking out a little too much on the side even when worn over my jeans. I usually fit sizes 7 and 7.5 but this one was big and the arch support didn't hit where it was supposed to on my feet. I may reorder and get the size 7 and see how they fit. I love Zappos and their hassle free returns.

I've been looking for a pair of grey boots for a while. These were comfortable with a low heel and stylish enough. I am a normal 10 but wear between a 10-1/2 and 11 in boots b/c I wear thick wool socks all winter long. The calf was very large and stuck out. My husband thought they look like wellies. Since I don't tuck my pants into my boots and are usually wearing a skirt with them, I wanted a slimmer look. If you have hard to fit calves and/or tuck your pants, these boots would work.

Someone with dainty narrow feet, big heels, and wide calves are in luck. This is a beautiful boot with gorgeous leather and they are made just for you! Sadly, I only have the big athletic calves. I ordered my usual size (8.5) and they were waaaay to short and narrow in the toe, so I exchanged them for a 9. They were still too short and very narrow but the heel was now far too wide. This is really too sad as I’ve always found Vionic to be kind to my foot and these really seem so well made and are good looking.

I have high arches so it may be me, but I couldn’t even get my foot in the boot. Too bad because they are gorgeous!
