These Fastpack III are extremely stylish with the woven look. Tons of compliments and questions from others. Grips well in snow, not so much on ice or slush. Needs a little break in at the ankle cuff. Definitely recommend these stylish and extremely functional shoes!

My feet are a little wide, so it is difficult for me to find shoes which fit comfortably. These shoes feel comfortable now, but I am not sure how they would feel after prolonged period. The material is a bit sturdy stiff (not necessarily bad for sturdy, quality shoes), so I think they need some break-in. Both my wife and I like the style, color, and quality construction of the shoes. My wife bought a pair for herself after she saw my shoes.

Great shoe for my feet! I wear a shoe insert and this day tripper has a nice form flat base that suits my orthotics perfectly. Great water resistance and good looking—sole is a bit thick/chunky, but that fits for a hiker. I’m in a rainy town so these will be mostly urban hikers for me.

These shoes are so good I have already purchased a second pair. I'm on my feet all day and these shoes have performed at the highest level.

Bought these for a job where I'd be walking in rainy areas much of the time. Deep puddles and rivulets and such, they've done their job and kept my feet perfectly dry. They took about 4 days of 30k steps or so to break in. Only complaint is the laces are very slick and come untied, requiring a double knot to be at all secure.

These shoes are next level. I usually don't drop more than $100 since the wear and tear is rough on hiking shoes. Glad I spent the extra. Super light weight, grip is great even when the sole is loaded with dirt / mud or wet, they look good and feel good. Did about 15-20 miles a day over 10 days with these and I plan on buying a second pair for when these eventually wear down.

I live in the Denver suburbs, and hike at least 3 times a week. The Men's Ultra Fastpack III GTX, are perfect for Frontrange Hikes. I hike Eldorado Canyon, The Flatirons, Red Rocks, Roxbourgh and Waterton Canyon. The shoes absorb the small rocks and grip the larger rocks, I have put over 100 miles on them in less than one month.

I love these. I spent 2.5 days in these hiking Mount Jefferson and Mount Adams, among others, in White Mountains. Total elevation gain in one day was about 3300 feet. Stepped in the creek and my feet stayed comfortable and dry at all times. Would highly recommend.

It seems like a great shoes. Felt comfortable but unfortunately it's a bit narrow so a got half size larger so it's too roomy lenght-wise and my feet move too much in the shoes.

I had recently worn out a pair of Columbia hiking shoes, and so this time decided to try a pair from NF for hiking. I live in Oahu, and I regularly hike the trails on the island, so I definitely wanted a reliable pair, and I just may have found one. With the new pair I ran Makiki Valley Loop trail a couple of times so far and am very satisfied. Half of this trail is made of rocks and tree roots all entangled, and the other half is a muddy mess, and it can get slippery, but the shoes gripped the ground tight and solid. As far as comfort goes I cannot comment as I am still trying to break it in. My only gripe is its sizing. I wear 9, and I had to get 8 for it to fit me. Cannot wait to do some serious hiking with this baby!

This shoe is very light and comfortable to wear . But it feels a half size large . That's one problem I faced . Other than this , it's a very nice and comfortable one .

A nice light-hiking and around-town shoe. Very comfortable right out of the box and for day-long wear in the yard. Fully waterproof, abrasion resistant and excellent at repelling fine sand on desert hikes. The only negatives I have found are that the soles do not clear mud and debris well (even though the lugs are not particularly deep) and that securing my heels required using the "racer's loop" lacing technique and the tongues are barely long enough to stay beneath the top laces. Overall a very solid, well made shoe.
I'd also recommend:
Salomon, Smartwool, Saucony

I bought these to be used as my rainy weather shoes in the city. They work perfectly for that. Waterproof and great traction. I used to have some North Face boots for that purpose, but they were too chunky for my tastes. These work great. I would size up a half size and beware they are kind of wide. But they fit, and I like a lot.

I've worn this shoe for a couple of generations. While the shoe technology has improved the insole hasn't. It is very very basic. TNF should improve their insoles for the higher line shoes (e.g. like Oboz does). With a better insole this would be an even better shoe.

Unfortunately ,I'm going to return them due to being too wide for my foot. It's a shame, because I really like the look of them .

I am not a fan of these shoes. Nothing is really wrong with them but, I believe that for the same price, I would get something far superior from Nike, Addidas and the like.
