Wore them for the first time yesterday. They were comfortable as soon as I put them on & this didn't change all day. Also, I could wear socks with them. The size I ordered was just right.

I ordered a half size up after reading the other reviews and I'm so glad I did as they would be too tight when wearing socks. I ordered the chocolate brown boots and they are the perfect color to add to my fall/winter collection. My only problem is what to do with the laces. I don't like having a loose feel/fit at my ankle, but I cannot tighten them sufficiently. Or are they supposed to be left loose like that?

I really wanted to love and keep these boots. The footbed was amazingly comfortable, the heel is the perfect height, and the color is lovely. Unfortunately, the uppers were not comfortable. There are 2 pieces of leather that overlap to create the upper, and the edge this creates rubbed on my ankle bones. Plus, the dangling decorative cord flapped around while I walked, which I found annoying just trying these on in my bedroom. I'm sure after an entire morning I would have taken scissors to it. Sending them back, sadly.

From reading the reviews, I'd originally ordered 1/2 size down, which was a big mistake! So, back to my original size 9, they fit well. My only complaint is that the string/ties are primarily decorative and limited on how snug they pull, so these shoes feel a little loose just above the ankle, which creates some slip. I may be able to counter that with thicker socks, idk. But I like the shoes enough to keep them. I have yet to wear them all day to see if they wear well. The bottom looks like it provides really good traction.

These were very comfortable right out of the box, with a thin pair of SmartWool socks. I did send them back, however, because I found the style to be a bit boring while wearing the boots with jeans that cover the shaft. They would probably look better with leggings or skinny jeans (tucked in).

Very comfortable right out of the box. The reviews said they run a little small so I got a half size up so I could wear them with thicker socks and they fit perfectly. Great for winter.

Super cute, quite stiff, and quite narrow. I am returning because they are too narrow for my average width feet. They may be better if you order a size up, but between the need to break in AND being narrow, it's not worth the risk to me to try to break in and see if they will every be comfortable. I fear they'd be yet another cute pair of well-made shoes sitting in the back of my closet. :(

Love everything about these boots except they are not very generous in width and the leather is stiff, but I think with a little breaking in they'll be great. Beautiful leather, comfortable, versatile for wearing to dress up or down. I wish they made these in different widths!

I love these short ankle boots to wear to work as part of a dressier look or to wear casually to a brewery with friends. They are great shoes and feel very durable. I appreciate the high quality materials and level of comfort. My only complaint is that my puppy is overly interested in the laces, which probably says more about my pup than the shoes.

These boots are a beautiful, rich dark brown shade and are a very cute design. They fit true to size. However, the leather is very stiff, and the boots were rubbing my ankles terribly, even with mid-weight socks. I have fairly small ankles, so I think it has to do with the design style rather than the size of my feet. I had to return for this reason, but they may work fine for others. It is worth a try, as the quality is top-notch!

The dark brown color makes them look like boots for working on a farm. I wanted to exchange them for the lighter reddish brown version, but they were unavailable in my size. I was offered a full refund instead.

While I enjoy the look of these boots, I can't seem to get them to break in. I've worn them countless times and every single time I wear them for more than a few hours, my feet end up hurting. They will rub my toes and heels, even in thicker socks. I originally purchased these for travel purposes, but I don't feel confident in bringing these on my next multi-day trip. They're great for going to a casual dinner or movie, though. I still wear them, just not for "walking around a new city" days.

Seemed like a nice boot, but I returned. Too narrow. I wear Keens, Ahnu, Aetrex and Vionic. I ordered the Vionic Mara at the same time and kept those although had to go 1/2 size bigger.

This shoe will not stay securely on your foot. While it is "true to size" it is loose in its shape, and the laces do not allow you to really tighten it. If you cinch the laces tightly, the shoe fabric folds in and rubs your feet. I LOVE my old teva boots that they discontinued and these just are not the same :(.
