Compared to my Teva sandals this shoe runs about 1/2 size larger even with heavier socks. Nice material and great arch support. This being said it would be a good shoe for most people. I however have a morton's neuroma and there is just not enough forefoot cushioning for me. I will have to stick to Altra max cushioning athletic sneakers. I'm recovering from a broken ankle, so my needs are different than most folks ordering shoes. I was looking for lace up shoes that could accommodate my normal size foot, and my nasty, swollen foot which is probably a half size larger than normal. The Teva Arrowood is an attractive shoe, but didn't offer support in the right places for me. My bum ankle/foot wasn't happy, but again, I'm an outlier among typical shoe customers. I'm a size 9.5 in Nike, and ordered that size in this shoe. It was much too big length wise; I think an 8.5 would have worked well ( I'm a size 8 in normal shoes - sizing is so arbitrary! ) This shoe has a leather upper, which would make it a better fall/winter/cool weather shoe. The leather is soft, and would be comfortable. I returned this shoe, but would look at other Teva shoes in the future.

Great shock absorbing sole, roomy toebox for a wide toe narrow heel, and the black ones look like sneakers instead of hiking shoes. However, the top of the shoe was narrow in height and pinched my big toes on both feet to the point that they were numb after a 6 hour hike for 3 days. Would not wear these again unfortunately.

I normally wear a medium width, but this shoe was very wide - unable to correct by pulling the ties tighter. If I had had a wider foot, however, these shoes were very stylish and seemed to have a very comfortable insole, etc. Felt badly because I really liked the style.

If you need a wide soft toe, this show is for you. I have a narrow food and need more structure.

I could hardly get my foot in these shoes, bummed out, liked the style.
