I have many pairs or Merrells and they are great, well-fitting shoes. I wanted to like these shoes and I sort of did in some ways. But I returned them because: 1. They run small. I ordered 2 prs. - a size 8.5 (my normal Merrell size for casual leather shoes. And a size 9, my usual Merrell size for running-type shoes.) Both are too small in this style. 2. The style doesn't work for me. The sweater material where you slip your foot in isn't an improvement over tongue and laces. Not easier to put on and not an especially good look. 3. I have bunions and there is a seam that runs straight across the top of the ball of the foot. With the seam on my bunions plus the shoe running small, I could not wear these shoes. One shoe fit on my smaller foot, but barely. 4. Although I knew I was getting the suede or new buck leather, after I saw it I realized it would become filthy looking very quickly. Water proofing spray could help with that but then the shoe might not breath. Please Merrell, remake this shoe sized a little bigger, in smooth leather and with tongue and laces. Same shape, same sole. I know it would be a real hit! (Maybe go back to a normal-feeling insole. These raised areas in seemingly random spots are very comfortable.)

I had to return these shoes. They felt smaller than any other Merrell's I own. Both a little shorter, but mostly very narrow. I liked the style, but had to return.
