Customer Reviews Arc'teryx Bird Head Toque

Got this a week ago and the color blue is what is shown web-site. The fit is a little small and short to cover the ears, and I don't feel I have a large head size. Could be more of a medium to large fit for one size fits. Feels like it is slowly sliding off after while as I am pulling on it to make sure it stays on. Not sure if it will really stretch some over time to feel more comfortable. I have to say it is thin enough to wear under a bike helmet and keep your head warm when riding on cool windy days.

I love my dead bird products - I generally have at least one on at all times, sometimes 3-4 because they're versatile & durable & so, even if "pricy", of good value. This is the first real complaint I've had - 1.) the color of the product received does not match marketing pictures (it's not a bad color, but not what I was hoping for/thought I was buying), and I understand that color is affected by the device displayed on, but I'd expect the color in marketing pics to be closer to true 2.) as another reviewer posted, the fit is tight. I've noticed I'm getting a headache when I wear it, it's that tight, so I've stopped wearing it & switched to another toque (and I wouldn't say my head is unusually large but others may say that's just my ego talking ;)

I read all the reviews and I though people exaggerated with the hat running small. some of the reviews are two years old and response from Arcteryx is that they will take in the reviews and make changes. Well that hasn't happened. The toque is high quality but it does run small even for mid-sized male heads.

Have seen others wear this hat, and really looked forward to wearing it as a replacement for my other Solomon fleece lined hat. This hat is stylish and light. However as others have mentioned the inner lining of the hat is only half fleece lined and for us people light on hair at the crown this does pose a challenge as wind blows right through and leave the crown of the head cold. I wonder about this design choice, as I believe a fleece lined hat should be, well, fleece lined and warm! Disappointingly this hat has let me down, I was expecting so much more from such a pricey hat! Would love to hear customer services response to my comments.

I had a hat like this for years from you that I loved, but lost it on a hike. I ordered a replacement. Even though the site has a hat sizing chart, there was no place to pick a size. I thought it was one size fits all, but this one definitely is smaller than my old hat. It no longer covers my ears all the way. I would not recommend it if you have a larger head.

This hat is very varm and comfortable, but is all to small! Especially since it is almost no stretch in it. It should be made in different sizes.

If you have a very small head go for it. For me, and I am not a large person, it's like wearing a too tight beanie.

This product is decent but it is way to tall on ur head. The images on the website show that it looks like it almost fits ur head but I can pull the beenie almost all the way down my face!

there should be size options. this toque is way too small my head is 60cm so it fits within the size range of this hat but wow after a couple of minutes of wearing it i probably had the worst headache of my life. i ended up giving it to my sister

I received this toque as a gift a little over a month ago and it already has a tear in it. I am unsure what caused it as I just wear it in town. I noticed a thread had come loose a while ago and has lead to this hole. Pretty disappointed, expected better quality from arc'teryx. Also, did fit perfectly for me but I have a very small head.

When I put on the hat on and cover my ears, I can feel it rising up over a few minutes leaving leaving my ears exposed. It will not stay all the way on.

I was excited to get this, but it turned out to be too small for my dome. It looked like I was wearing a dew rag. I ended up giving it to my kiddo (9).

This toque is very thin. I have a North Face toque that was a little more than half the price that feels like it's better quality. I have Beta AR shell and a couple of Arc Teryx T shirts and I'm starting to think that it's hype.

Over rated tbf, ts is not steezy. Hair flow all day.

These used to be very well made, I have 2 bought at least 10 years ago that are still going strong. I bought another one not long ago and it is nothing like the older ones. The older ones were much thinner, tighter and made better. I didn't recommend this new design.

My grandmother can knit a better toque for one tenth of the price!

The threads unravel very easily on these beanies, you only have to look at them and the threads start becoming loose, especially around the graphics and logo. The beanie is also small fitting.

When I removed the new tag the threading completely unraveled, do not recommend this product. I reached out and they said there was nothing they could do about it. Pretty bummed

One size fits all is a lie, if you have a big head ( L or higher) do not even consider buying it.

Just had this delivered. It looks great but is tiny! Too small for me, too small for my 10 year old son. Feels like it would ping off your head in more than a light breeze. Headgear like this needs to be versatile, you need to be able to tug it down low over the ears when the rain and sleet gets horizontal.

Have many Arcteryx pieces and love them but this made me angry. If you are an average sized male, do not buy this hat. They are tiny and fit like half a football on your head. Yukon Gold colour looks okay on the website but more brown in reality. Arcteryx, this unisex stuff may be 'en vogue' but men don't have the same sized heads as women. Will never buy another hat from you until you acknowledge this fact.
