Fit, finish, workmanship, and design all deserve 5 stars. However, I am forced to give the shoe a 2 star rating at best. This is because the outsole (bottom of shoe) is made of a material that does not hold up. The material might do ok if you walked on carpet only. It is a foam that isn't even that dense and after 3 days of wearing them they already show significant wear. My last pair of shoes were a now discontinued Merrill sneaker/casual boot that had the same issue. I was hoping these wouldn't have that same issue. If they had made the outsole the same material as their hiking boots I would probably buy them again and again and be willing to pay more. It's somewhat surprising to me that a company like Merrell would choose to utilize lower quality material to ensure a shorter lifespan. I guess that's just how things are these days. Disappointed and will likely be switching brands next time around, which will likely be in a couple months at the rate these are wearing.

I wore these for two weeks in Europe and the soles just about wore out. Not worth the money, not what I would expect from company like Merrell.
