I read lots of reviews before buying, and ordered a full size up from my typical shoe size (half size up from sneaker size). I love the fit! Likely could have gotten away with the 1/2 size up, but prefer the roominess for winter weight socks, and wiggle room for toes. The sole of this boot has a nice cushion, no arch support though, if that is important to you. There's no break in period, comfort right out of the box. I can be heat sensitive. On the first day of wearing, I was indoors for an hour +, in a store (mask wearing) and also on an hour+ walk in freezing temps, walking through snow. In both cases my feet stayed comfortably warm, not overheated indoors, and didn't feel at all cold while on the snowy walk. I love the flexibility of the sole too. I'm over hard bottomed winter boots. As another reviewer pointed out, driving in these (feeling the pedals) is no problem. They are a short boot, which is great for my muscular calves. If I need to go through deep snow, I'd need a snow boot, or to grab my tall, less comfy, boots from the closet. All in all, really happy with Columbia quality and Zappos service. I got the charcoal color, based on what was available in my size. It's as pictured.

I love these boots! So cute, comfy and warm. I did order a size up because I read the other reviews and they fit perfectly with heavy socks. I wore them in Chicago in the cold and snow this past weekend.

The fit is perfect, and I love the looks and comfort of these boot! They keep my feet very warm and also are easy to walk long distances in!

I usually wear a size 7-7.5 and after reading the reviews that the boots run small, I ordered an 8 and they fit perfectly with plenty of room for thick socks. I love the color and they are very comfortable. Can’t wait to try them out this weekend in cold and snow.

LOVE these boots! I was drawn to the Omni-Heat technology and the claims of waterproof. I can’t comment on whether they are really waterproof as I’m located in GA and so far, no snow this winter, but I was pleasantly surprised at how warm they are! They are great for walking the dog in the AM (currently mid-20’s here.) I love having warm ankles! When you are moving, your feet stay downright cozy. I typically wear a 7 in a shoe, but based on the recommendations of other reviewers who felt the boot ran small, I went with a 7.5. I initially thought I had made a mistake, but they do accommodate a thicker sock, and I find that boots that are too tight end up making my feet feel colder. I definitely agree with the suggestion to size up a half size. I initially found the footbed a bit too squishy for my taste. I think they could be a little more structured. If you need really great arch support, these may not be for you. That said, I have gotten used to them, and I really like the fact that I feel like I’m wearing sneakers rather than stiff, heavy boots. The flexibility is sort of liberating. I prefer it to the clunkiness of other boots out there. I also like that these boots are very streamlined. They do not require you to wear skinny jeans or leggings for style points, unlike UGG-style boots or even the Columbia Heavenlys which have a big, fluffy cuff. These boots will go comfortably under any boot cut or straight leg jean (and will still work well with skinny jeans). A lot of reviewers said they found these boots very narrow and could not get their feet into them. I did not find that to be the case and I don’t think I have particularly slender feet.
