Let me preface this with the fact that I have Raynaud’s, a disorder that causes my feet and hands to turn absolutely FREEZING when it’s really not that cold, and then refuse to warm up. So warm socks don’t do a thing for it, because they only work to insulate what heat you put off. My feet put off very little heat. Columbia OmniHeat is so so much warmer than traditional layering AND far warmer than sheepskin-lined Uggs, which were my previous go-to. Last winter I lived inside and out in my Columbia Minx Shorty boots, which was kinda awkward inside but FOR ONCE my feet weren’t aching cold all season. These shoes are warmer than Uggs and have better, grippier soles. I’d say they’re 75% slipper, 25% shoe. I do wear them on errands but they don’t have the support for serious walking. They really look like slippers, though, so that’s what I expected. I’m not totally sold on the faux fur lining but I can say it dries much faster than sheepskin (my feet also sweat, nerve damage), so that’s a plus. If you expect them to be for outdoorsy activities and long walks, you will probably not be satisfied. If you want toasty warm toes for indoors and short walks on flat pavement and errands, you’ll love them.

This shoe looked so cute and comfy I just had to try it! It is cute that's true, comfy? Not so much. There's truly zero support under your foot and it feels as if I'm walking on the ground with nothing between my foot and the ground. For those of us with any kind of foot issue, your foot hurts like heck walking in this shoe. There just is no support. Returned.

These are my office slippers during the winter. I can take those heavy boots off and slip these on instead. Wonderfully cushy -and I get a lot of compliments.

Twice now Zappos has recommended I order a size up from my usual size, twice I have ignored that recommendation, and twice I have been glad I did. A size larger and these would be waaay too long for my feet. They are snug widthwise but are already stretching out a little with wear. More important is the length - plenty of room to stretch out my toes and my heels are loose but not slipping out. Be wary about these different size recommendations! They are super cute slippers too. I esp like the soles with traction as I am constantly going up and down bare wooden steps.
