snug in toe, material very stiff

I am so disappointed in these shoes. I got them for a trip abroad, with lots of walking. Have had several pairs of Merrell shoes in the past, and they were quite comfy. These were fine for the first 30 minutes of walking, and then miserable. I literally had to pack them away and where flip flops.I do not think it was an issue with width, but a poor foot bed design. Anyway, if you are going to dinner, and need a sporty pair of shoes, these are probably fine. But I would NOT recommend them if you are going to be walking lots of miles in a day.

The shoe fit well....but then immediately fell apart. Really, really surprised at how poorly these felt considering how fantastic Merrel's traditionally are. Bought them, took them home and then wore them for half a day before they just felt like they died on the street. They look cool enough but there is no arch or heel support. I could've gotten some pumas and gotten more comfort.

I really hoped that I'd like this one. It felt like an alright shoe when I put it on, then I started walking with it... OUCH. Where the shoe bends, it stabs right into my big toe on the top. I couldn't wear for more than 30 seconds of walking and 20 minutes after taking the shoe off my toe still hurts! I'm not sure why people like this shoe. It's a little longer than normal too, but even if it was shorter it wouldn't make a difference with that pain. The tongue also stabs a little bit into my ankle, but I'm assuming that would loosen out over time. My heel slips a little also. Overall... don't recommend at all and returning right away.
