This is a really nice boot, but am having to return because I have a really high instep and wide foot. Although female, most of my shoes/boots come from the mens section as they are cut wider. The tongue of this winter boot is attached to the boot which does not allow me to get my foot into the boot easily, and once my foot is in, it is super tight. I would have kept if I could adjust the tongue and the lace-ups better. I was really pleased to see that a company is finally making a wide winter boot.

Would think EE-Wide would be plenty wide but it was not. Binding even with a thin sock on.

The appear to be a nice boot. Felt heavy duty and durable. Wasn't really able to try them out. No snow yet and the fit was little off. They are heavily padded boots. For me, my toes felt a little cramped at the end. Not sure exactly if it was that they were a little too short or narrow, or just a little small all around, but it was all due to the thick padding in the body of the boot and the waterproofing layer. I definitely wouldn't be able to wear a thick pair of socks comfortably in my regular size. My guess is that this is the same issue people are having when they say the boots run a little narrow. I ordered the next size up, so we'll see if that helps.

The left boot is a little tight and the right boot is a little loose. I went for a 1/4 mile walk, and they felt mostly good. I expect they will be OK once I wear them in.

I had to return twice because of feeling too small. But once I got the right fit it is a good boot for winter activities. The return process was quick and easy!

Purchased online at Zappos, Jan.2020. After 30 seconds I realized that the boots were painfully unwearable. The soles had lumps in both the right and left boots, like having little stones in your shoes. This is the second pair of Columbia boots that I have had with the same problem. These most recent boots are worse than the first pair and the Columbia boots are the only footwear I have that exhibit this problem. Thanks to Zappos for making returns quick, easy, and free.

I wear a 9.5 D normally and this is what I bought. I tried them in the house for half an hour and they felt a little snug in the width but thought i would keep them after taking taking the insole out and realizing the tight came from all the insulation. I put the insole back in and took the dog for his walk. Normally it is a half mile walk on the level, tonight it was a mile with up and down hills. No problems my feet felt fine. No slipping and sliding inside the boot. Ambient temperature was 38 degrees no snow. My feet stayed nice and toasty. Thats a plus for a diabetic. Pretty sure the result will be the same with lower temps and snow. Not real sure how I feel about the top grommets not being hooks but not a deal breaker,the laces IMHO might be a bit longer. Overall I am impressed with these boots they are what I was looking for,light weight and warm!!
