I'm not sure if these will cause foot pain. Plan to wear them awhile. Narrower than anticipated. But the sole is good--does not squeak.

FIT LIKE A GLOVE

I WAS SKEPTICAL ABOUT A GENERALIZED "WIDE FIT SHOE", BUT THESE TRULY ARE W-I-D-E. I WEAR AN 8E OR 8WW AND THESE FIT PERFECTLY. THEY ARE GOING BACK BECAUSE THERE IS NO ARCH SUPPORT AT ALL. IN FACT, WHEN YOU STEP DOWN, THE FABRIC OF THE SHOE ACTUALLY BUCKLES AND FOLDS OVER WHERE YOUR ARCH IS. PERHAPS A DIFFERENT STYLE???

Because of various foot problems (including bunions, prior surgery, and a ganglion cyst), it's virtually impossible for me to find comfortable shoes. After a good friend told me I should try this brand, I ordered this shoe in my usual size (6.5W). My first impression was that the shoe was perfect -- and for most people, I think it would be. But after a few minutes, the shoe caused a little discomfort where the shoe flexes just below the toes; that's the area where I had surgery years ago. So I ordered a half-size larger, and that appears to have solved the problem. Before buying these shoes, I bought a pair of Adidas, but these Skecher's are more comfortable; they're well cushioned, and they seem to have a little arch support. (The Adidas don't seem to have any.) Also, the style of this shoe is attractive; my husband commented on how good-looking they are. If the half-size-larger shoes continue to be comfortable, I'll order them in additional colors.

Fit and width were ok, it's the sewing where the laces start that was digging into some scars I have from past foot surgeries. Typically a Skechers fan for just quick running around to the store, but really prefer their slip on type sneaker shoes. Have good Asics for travel ad walking. Everyone please stay well during this pandemic!!
