Extremely comfortable

This shoe has great support but does NOT have a lot of structure. So, there isn't a traditional feel with this shoe. You will want to lace 'em up tight to go for a good run. That could have an impact on your foot placement, sliding, blood flow or nerve impingement, etc. The upper material is amazing. I sprayed a DWR on right out of the box and they held up well for my first run through tall, wet grass. My feet were completely dry. Compared to GTX/waterproof materials, these are a lot lighter and breath much better (I do recommend using a DWR for wet terrain).

I use these shoes for trail running over moderately to heavily rocky terrain. The grip is great and the shoes stay firm on my feet

I wear these shoes to the gym. They fit comfortably, and they provide the moderate level of support that I want. They also fit very securely, my feet are snug in the shoes and I don't worry about them slipping.

I always have a hard time finding shoes that I like in stores, and often when I do they're out of my size or they end up being uncomfortable. So, this time I took a shot in the dark and looked online. My objective was finding shoes made from all man-made materials that would hold up to rigorous walking and every day use. I found Merrell pretty quickly in that search, but I almost overlooked the Agility Synthesis Flex because the example color pattern is so very far out of my aesthetic. However, I reminded myself that that was probably not the only selection, and sure enough I loved the way the all-black style looked. I hate not trying things on, but the reviews were good and I was feeling lucky. A couple days later, I open the box, stick my feet in, and I'm shocked to find that they're comfortable right away. I usually have to wear new shoes in or buy new cushioned inserts, but these were already perfect! I've since worn them every day, to work, out on walks, to the gym, and even got to try them on a hike in the Rockies! They're holding up great, they feel great, and they keep relatively clean all on their own. I'm really surprised and pleased with my purchase!

I love these shoes! The fit is just right. I have orthotic arch supports that have to go in my shoes & sometimes this causes the shoes to fit too tight, but not these shoes. I used to take my shoes off the minute I got home because my feet were hurting, but with these shoes I wear them until it's time to go to bed. I have had trouble with my feet (particularly my arches) since I was a kid. I was told by one of my doctors that Merrell made the best hiking & trail shoes on the market, so I did a little research and found that most people agreed. And after trying these shoes, I wholeheartedly agree! Thank you Merrell for making it easier on my feet, now I can walk farther without having to rest because my feet hurt!

The shoe felt perfect right out of the box. There is a lot of cushion so the shoe is very comfortable to wear. You don't even know you are wearing a shoe. I liked this shoe so much that I ordered two more pair with different colors.

I have several pairs of Merrell shoes and these didnt disappoint. Will be ordering a second pair soon

Very comfortable, light weight, and responsive when lightly jogging! Provides a great deal of comfort and contoured cushioning in all areas! Love the lacing system and snugness of the shoe! A great shoe and would highly recommend it! Wish I discovered Merrell shoes a long time ago!

The most comfortable sneakers that I have ever owned. I have a pair of Merrell dress shoes for work which are terrific, so I thought I would look up the company online to see what else they have. I found these sneakers, so thought I would give them a try. Glad I did. Wish I had found this company years ago. I am done with the other shoe companies. Merrell customer for life.

I think this is the best pair of shoes ever. very comfortable, I use them for my daily use in the summer.

great shoe- very light yet supportive. For me, fit more narrow than my merrell hiking shoes.

Very comfortable hiking sneaker. Cool colors. Think "Nike made a hiking shoe." My other Merrell shoes are 11.5 and fit well; I ordered an 11.5 and it is a little roomy.

Comfortable, stylish shoe, but not as breathable as you would expect from a non-waterproof Merrell shoe. You feet get really sweaty of a light job or workout, especially in the heat.

One loop broke were the string goes, other than that a good shoe.

Wish it had a bit more cushion though.

Awesome shoes

The shoe is very comfortable, light weight and has good cushioning. I especially like the fact that the upper is mostly 1 piece, not multiple pieces which have a higher probability of coming apart after a year's use.

This is a very comfortable and light shoe. The neoprene tongue is a great feature that I would welcome in many other products I have used. I'm deducting one star here because I was unable to get the ideal running-shoe fit around my foot. I have high arches, and I like to get a good, secure fit around my foot. I was unable to secure down the lower half of the laces on this shoe without distorting the shape of the shoe. Without that secure fit, I felt less confident running in this shoe. That being said, I wore this shoe on a number of hikes, and I thought it performed great in that capacity. It is light and comfortable, and I never had issues with traction, even on loose rock. I will continue wearing this shoe. It just won't replace my trail running shoes.

I am a ladies size 12 with a narrow heal cup and normal size toe box. I have prescribed custom orthotics that I need to wear in all my shoes. With that being said. I ordered a mans size 11. The shoes came in a day before expected. As usual, I have to take the existing insoles out of the shoes to accommodate my inserts. I found these shoe to be extremely comfortable and supportive! Very hard to find these days. They actually FIT! Inserts in and my heal stayed in the shoe like they are supposed to. Because I had to remove the shoes insoles to fit in my inserts, shoes are usually prone to squeak a little. The more you'd walk.. the less they'd squeak as everything settled. These were the loudest I have ever heard! It sounded like I'd gone and placed dog squeak toys on my feet! I put the shoes insoles back into the shoes and then my inserts back in. It did help mask the sound a bit and were almost tolerable but then as I walked, I was walking out the back like a pair of flip flops. So disappointing. I currently have a pair of Merrell hiking shoes that fit almost perfectly.(walk out the back of them as well) They were so well made and had amazing that I HAD to try a running shoe for every day use. I had high hopes these would work. They would have if it wasn't for the noise. I had to return them because of that.
