I gave the brown version to my wife for Christmas, and she loves them. Though we had little snow this year, she was able to wear them enough to know she really likes them. The fit is perfect with no real break-in needed, and there's enough room for winter socks.. The traction is really good to prevent slips and falls. The insulation feature is great to have, especially for people like my wife who are ALWAYS cold! Haha! The Merrell name is what drew me to these, and I'm glad it did because the quality is as good as I've heard from other Merrell shoe owners. I wholeheartedly recommend these fine insulated, waterproof Merrell Thermo Chill boots!

I absolutely love them! We had more than usual amount of snow & ice this year and my old boots fell apart. After wearing tennis shoes in the snow for several days, I ordered these boots. Part of my job requires me to be outside and these boots are perfect! My feet stayed warm & dry and the traction is awesome. I wore them all day with no problem. Inside in the office and outside in the snow & below freezing temps. They were so comfortable I forgot I had snow boots on. I recommend them.

The boot is EXCELLENT. It is definitely insulated, definitely waterproof, sturdy, comfortable, can be worn indoors for hours just to get warm. It's perfect. I returned boots by Keen because they were too roomy and not warm in spite of claiming to be.

I received these boots this morning (love zappos' fast delivery!) and since it's day 2 of snow/ice/freezing temps, put 'em on right away and took the dogs for a walk. LOVE THESE BOOTS! They're the most comfy snow boots I've ever worn, feel like sneakers walking. Flexible soles, great tread, warm & dry. Didn't slip on the ice & snow once. I have really high arches and they even have arch support! Great product by Merrell. I'm very satisfied with this purchase.

These fit me beautifully and are toasty warm, waterproof, with terrific treads on the sole. I've already worn them out in a heavy snow storm and my feet stayed warm and dry. I love these boots more than any others I've ever had. I have a wide toe box and narrow heel and am hard to fit, but these fit perfectly.

I ordered my usual size 9, they were to large will order an 8 1/2

I ordered my usual size and a half size bigger. The usual size fit perfectly. It’s very comfortable and warm. The arch support is good. I wish it was a little higher because the back digs in a little awkwardly but not so bad that it’s a deal breaker.

This pair of bots was the ONLY winter shoe with good foot support, which is mandatory, as I've had 4 foot surgeries. Only problem, the boot was too snug on my lower leg; it wasn't flexible enough. I'm outdoorsy and wear heavy, leather hiking boots, that go above my ankle. So, the issue is not that it 'feels funny' or that I'm not used to lace-up boots above my ankle. Sad to say, they are going back.

I'm a fan of Merrell hiking shoes, so I was glad to find these when I needed to replace my old L.L. Bean snow sneakers. They fit the bill in keeping my feet warm, comfortable and dry during a 1-3 mile walk, and though not dainty looking those tirelike treads do provide stability on snow and ice.

I love them!!! Lightweight, warm, perfect fit for my wife toe box. Can't wait to try them in the ice and snow. (Normally I buy Keens, but they were out of the ones I wanted in my size. These are my first Merrels.)

These boots have a lot going for them. The arch support, the outer sole/traction and insulation were all very good. Unfortunately, I found them just a little tight in the outside of my foot at its widest point. So I returned them.

Great fit and easy to wear heavy socks or two pairs to keep my feet warm.

I purchased these boots after going through several lower quality pairs at work in quick succession. I work outdoors in often muddy conditions and walk quite a lot on the job. These boots have keep my feet warm and dry in rain, snow, and freezing temperatures. They are a little heavy and a little wide on my ankles, but I do have small ankles and narrow feet. They are holding up well so far and my feet haven't been hurting after a shift the way they did before. I ordered my usual athletic shoe size, and there is space for thicker socks. They're not the most stylish shoes, but honestly that's the last thing I care about at work.

They seem to run a bit narrow, but that works for me. They are very supportive and warm. I love the tread makes it easy to stay upright. Happy with my purchase.
