Love these boots! Perfect for cold weather walks, gripping the ice and snowshoeing.

I needed insulated boots that I could wear in very cold and snowy/icy weather and these were the best of several I ordered. I ordered an 8.5 because I need to wear heavy wool socks with them (I wear a 7.5 in street shoes) and the fit was good. Overall, they were pretty comfortable and the color is a nice change from black. The only reason I didn't keep them is because I found another Merrell insulated boot on sale for about $60 less. Thank you Zappos for having options I could try because it has been a difficult search to find the right boot.

This is probably the most comfortable cold weather boot I have ever worn! I am making a trip above the Arctic Circle this January, so I will give them a real test then. I expect they will be great, but will report back if there are any surprises.

Bought half size larger to wear with double socks. First wearing was 6 hours spent stacking firewood on a below-zero overcast day. My feet were warm and comfortable. A light-weight boot with a solid feel for standing and walking. Also an easily cleanable surface, and the red laces are a fun look. Definitely recommend!

These fit great. Got a 1/2 size larger than usual in order to wear winter weight socks, Even doing this they are a bit snug. Figure they will stretch as they are leather. Not worried about it. Love Merrells.

These shoes felt bulkier and stiffer than I expected. I bought these and the Oboz, and the Oboz had a much better/softer feel to them, even though the Oboz (Bridger) are supposedly heavier. These were still nicer on the feet than the Solomon Chalten that I ordered as well. I gave them 4* eventhough they did not feel very comfortable to me because I think that for people who will just put them on and go out walk on some snow it may actually be a good low boot, but I will be wearing that on a road trip and want something a little easier to drive (I can change shoes for longer drives, but don't want shoes on and off at every stop).

Good grip on ice and snow. Comfortable... wore them all day at work on concrete floor. Not much arch support, feet kind of spread out in them, wear more like shoes than boots. Expected by description they would be more rigid. Cushioned heel was nice. I bought them more for ice and snow than anything else so, happy with them

Really wanted to keep this boot since I need an anti slip winter boot and the arctic Vibram grip on the sole was just what I was looking for! Sadly this is very wide, clunky and slips terribly on my heel! For reference I wear a 10 in Aetrex sandals, 10 1/2 in ASIC sneakers, 11 in Oboz hiking boots as well as 11 in Koolaburra by UGG boots. I ordered this boot in an 11 to have room to wear thicker socks, the length is a bit long but was hoping to still make it work. Unfortunately these are SUPER wide and it didn’t matter what I did to try to tighten these, I just couldn’t make them work! Wore them for about 5 minutes on a carpeted floor, and could feel burning on my heels, and slipping, so these will not work for me for a day of walking and hiking! Also after just a few minutes walking around the house my feet were sweating, this would not be good if I wanted my feet to stay warm outside! I have a wider forefoot and a very narrow heel, also have a very high arch, I felt the insole in these boots had no support at all, so I put my Aetrex insole in which helped with the arch support, but still did not make these wearable. I tried super thick socks, two pairs of socks, different lacing techniques, all to no avail.....sadly I am going to have to return these. Thank you Zappos for being awesome about returns!

A very unattractive boot. Inside seems to have lots of padding which makes it feel tight.
