This is a nice looking jacket. It has mostly been too warm to wear it, but the one time I did it kept me snug and warm. No wind came through on my short bike ride. The only thing that worries me is that the arms seem pretty snug. I'm not sure I can fit a warm shirt under comfortably.

So far so good, I wanted a lighter jacket for summer, and I do love the colour. I honestly wish this had been in the puff style for women. I feel like the men's line is usually much better with colour and variety of products.

I bought the atom hoody because I needed a synthetic mid-layer. It is very functional but the one thing I wasn't the biggest fan of was that it looked a good bit loftier/ warmer in the photos online

The sizing has changed! My wife has the tiger Lilly version, size large, of the Atom jacket that is about 10 years old. We didn't think this classic jacket would change but the new size large Yukon color fits much larger. She will have to exchange it for a medium.

I love the aesthetic, weight, warmth and breathability of this jacket. It's perfect to have in my pack when I'm climbing or hiking. However, the hood cinches in the back rather than around the face so it does a horrible job keeping the wind out. This design is probably meant for ppl wearing a helmet but for everyday wear where I just need to stay warm without wearing a hat/beanie, this is a major design flaw.

Doesn't fit as well as I would like - had to go to a size from what fits my body for the sleeves and jacket not to be too short (5'8", 145ish). Otherwise good jacket. Wish they had a light coloured jacket that was a standard neutral colour like the men's.

Overall good, but the Outside material seems very fragile & easy to break.

I love this Atom Hoody. I still use my old black one that is over 10 years old but wanted a new one too. Got it in the sale. Only slight issue is that the sizing has changed and I bought a Small and would have preferred and XS. I compared it to my older Atom Hoody and the arms are the same size but the body of the new one is about an inch longer and probably more than that wider in the body. I could not change sizes due to stock and I love the bright yellow 'Sprint' colour. It can be adjusted at the bottom and the hood is adjustable, which my oolder one isn't so that is a bonus. Also it comes up further than my old one to protect my face which is great to put on after a cold xc race. Love the jacket, just seems Arcteryx has made their sizes bigger.

While water repellent it is also snow repellent it seems. Light snow however. Eventually the atom does begin to look wet - this can take up to 20 minutes. Wouldn't recommend for a standalone outer layer but is an excellent mid layer. Inside pocket helps. Kyanite hoody, atom and beta lt all work well together. Plenty of pockets and keeps you warm and dry. 220 is quite an investment however, you can get fully waterproof products for that price. But you're paying for a superior mid layer/emergency outer layer if you're caught out or if you're putting out the bins.

The usual superb quality arcteryx is known for - lightweight, breathable, JUST the right level of insulation jacket. With some notable improvements over the older version. Sleeves now have a new cuff around the wrist which is very good, logo is stitched on not printed, fleece material on the sides has more stretch making it a tighter fit then the previous iterations. Size wise it's less straight forward then before, I bought L (which I buy for all arcteryx products) but it's tighter then I expected; still fits well, but wearing a heavy sweater underneath is now less comfy. So why no 5 star? That would be the zipper, despite the fancy zipper pulls, the zipper appears to be of lesser quality then before not 'zipping' up as smoothly, it feels like there is some friction, only time will tell how it stand up to the test of heavy wearing - for the rest, it's a straight five star piece of gear - as per the usual!

I bought this 1 week ago for my girlfriend. She is 163cm tall and 57kg weight, and the M size is perfect, a little larger but for a winter cover is fine.

Had 5 Atom over years
Personally i would like to have a stuffsack pocket and the fabric of the "Squamish windshell" instead of the fleece inserts.

It's a great jacket. I did end up returning it and buying a larger size elsewhere- so the fitted sizing is truth! I'm typically a large and the large fit fine, but I run cold and wanted more room for layers, so went with the XL

I followed the size chart exactly and purchased a M. While it fits very comfortably, I would call this a very relaxed fit. It feels quite baggy to me and I preferred last year's closer fit better. This year, I like the longer torso and the looser armpits. I would like a slightly shorter sleeve and more fitted torso.
I did not like the fit for many years prior when it was very short in the torso and tight in the armpits. I am 5'5" and 135 lbs with a longer torso.
I also purchased a M shirt using the same new size chart and also find it a bit baggy. I traditionally wear S and wonder if I would like that sizing better, but according to the chart I would not fit it.

I have three of these hoodies. I use one as a mid layer for work, one for hiking/camping/outdoor sports, and this most recent one is for more general everyday use. The one I have for work I have had for ~6 years. I has been patched, re-puffed, sewn, and glued. It remains one of my favorite pieces in a layering system. They are comfortable across a range of temperatures, stand up okay to active use and pack relatively small for going in a stuff sack and pack. The sewning on the seems of my second one didn't stand up as well as the first. I have had it reparied at a shop in Calgary Alberta, and since it has been great. Overall, I would recommend this product.

This jacket is really good for weather above 40 degrees, windy or rainy. It feels like your wearing a long-sleeve shirt , it is extremely light. If you want something for below 45 degrees, go with the AR instead of this one, its worth the extra few dollars. The only problem I have with this jacket is checking my watch , the elastic cuffs can get annoying but it doesn't bother me to much.

I love this jacket. The materials make me feel like million bucks. The zipper is fluid and a pleasure to close. The insulation is incredibly warm despite the thickness of insulation. The weight is so low that I often forget that I am wearing it. The DRW is extraordinary and keeps me dry in this wet PWN weather. I love this jacket so much that it is my go to jacket. I wear it everywhere. However, I wish the collar reached higher when fully zipped so it covers my face more. The loss of a star is due to the fit. According to the website, this jacket is supposed be a fitted but it is slightly too baggy for my taste.

bought my partner this jacket as a replacement for his old one of the exact same jacket. Still a great product- wish the zipper stayed the rope/cord material rather than the new plastic/rubber- but that's minor.

Great coat but returned for a large. My measurements indicated a medium using the sizing guide, but when it arrived the arm pit area was too tight. If you are at the max for medium measurements I would go for a large.

Medium was a bit short in the body & tight in the pits.
Large has very baggy sleeves, especially in the forearms, but fits way better everywhere else. Just have to constantly pull up the sleeves, which is a bit annoying.
5'11 and 170lb with 42" chest and 34" waist.
Otherwise very comfy and easy to zip up quickly, good layering piece.

I'm a 6'2" thin to medium built man and a large fits me perfectly. It's my favourite mid layer. Feels like it's tailored specifically for me. The materials feel like they should be a bit higher quality for the price though

purchased this item to be a travel and hiking jacket. recently took it to iceland for hiking and found it to be a great in between of some insulation with layering and breathable enough that I didn't feel like I was walking in a trash bag. i can also use this in mild falls and winters in California. great piece.
