I bought a first gen Atom jacket back when it first came out back in 2008, or 2009?
It's been with me until last month when it somehow disappeared (aka my wife threw it out).
I have been impressed by the durability of the product and the service provided by arcteryx to keep my jacket going. I have used this jacket for everything: Climbing, mountaineering, backcountry skiing, hiking, sailing, travelling, forestry work, heck literally everything and it has stood up the harshest demands. It travelled with me to over 30 different countries in various climates and has always been reliable which is a lot to say for a modern day piece of equipment.
Arc'teryx changed the zipper twice, and patched it up for me without me requesting it. Great! I finally decided to buy a new one as my old one was literally falling apart. Really satisfied. 100% would recommend.

I am happy with the quality and warmth this light jacket provides. Finally Arc tyrex is making the XXL. The arms move nicely no restriction on body movements. Thank you

Bought for my mom's birthday and she loved it. Warm and light enough for all of her outdoor adventures. And stylish enough for the plethora of pictures she likes to take. She loves colour and the choices for her were great - ended up getting it in Timelapse which is a beautiful blue.

I like these jackets because you can use them almost all year round.
These are great jackets. I have been wearing them for a long time now. I ordered what looks like a turquoise jacket online and got a green one. I kept it because it is also a nice colour. Someone should take another picture that looks more representative of the actual colour.

Bought the jacket two weeks ago and so far was only able to test it on some small hikes but is has proven very versatile. Packs down to a very small size, adds a lot of warmth if you are moving and is still quite breathable.
The DWR coating is good enough to use the Atom as an outer layer even during small showers. In combination with a shell, it's adding a lot of comfort in chilly conditions. 10 out of 10,
I can only recommend this.

I've owned about 10 Arc'teryx jackets, and the Atom is one of my favorites due to its versatility across seasons. Fall? Wear it by itself.
Winter? Use it in layers, and you'll be all set.
My only wish, is that the 24K black color was available on other jackets.

By far my best Arc'teryx purchase. The Atom LT fits really well on me. It is very comfortable and the color looks great. Obviously the price is really high but this a jacket that, with good care, will last you for years.

My husband bought this jacket last fall and lived in it for the next 7 months of the cold season in Idaho. I decided I needed one and ordered the black/sand color. The fit is so flattering and keeps you extremely warm considering how slim the jacket is. I can go for a walk or run on the coldest, windiest day and stay warm because of the wind protection. I could go on forever about this jacket but you should just buy one. This jacket has become my second skin. The only downside I can think of is that it might not fit a short person well. I am 5'11" and 155* and the medium is perfect. The sleeves easily reach my wrists even when my arms are out.

Don't think twice and go for it! I wanted to pack light for my Alaska trip in August! It kept me warm wherever needed, I was on the front deck for three hours during our Kenai Fjord national park glacier cruise , it was super windy ,cold around 45 degrees and it drizzled at times but this jacket was like my own super hero.. I was just wearing a cotton tee beneath. I got so many compliments! Worth the money. Needless to say I love Arc'teryx!

I have tried alternatives and some have come close but in the end they have all failed to match the awesomeness of the Atom Lt. As a result, I am now on my 3rd Atom Lt. I usually wear the heck out them and sell them used for almost as much as I paid for them and invest in a new one. (In this case the Black 24k)
I am 6ft, athletic build 42" inch chest with broad shoulders and the Large has always been spot on. The wrist cuffs and elastic hood are what make it so good. They limit wind points so airflow is managed well by the insulation.
It is my go to 3 season jacket for everything. When it gets too cold I were my Camosun Parka and my Rush for the slopes. All large all bang on.

I have this jacket in Dimma (the dark muted purple) and Kingfisher (navy blue). I love the cut of the body (gives you a nice hourglass shape), covers most of my butt, the zipped pockets (two outside and the one inside), elastic cuffs, and the cinched bottom. The only 2 cons about this jacket: the hood and sleeves. The hood is not cinched but I have a small head and face and when zipped up it's not tight but fitted enough for it to be ok (which is tighter than most jackets). The sleeves are roomier than the body (proportion wise) but it'll give me motion especially when I layer under. The sleeves are too long for me they go to the tip of my fingers but in the winter I can be lazy and skip the gloves on my run lol. So the con in the sleeves is that they look funny which all the extra material in the wrist area since it's too long. I bought a S and can wear a slim tank or slim long sleeve, the Kyanite Hoody, and this on top no problem! I can fit into the XS too but it was a little tight in the bust with just a tank and hence wouldn't work well since I plan to layer. For reference: 5'2, 126#, hips: 37.5, bust: 37.5, slim petite build. I use this for around town, and running.

Love this jacket! It's light enough that you can always have it with you, but warm enough that when it classically drops 20 degrees when the sun sets you're still cozy!

This is now my favourite mid-weight mid layer hoodie! Not quite as warm as other heavier down jackets I have for colder weather, but amazing for active days or less cold weather. Paired up perfectly with the Beta AR for my winter layers. Super cozy and great even as a standalone jacket. Also surprisingly water-resistant in light rain!

Very happy with the way this looks and fits (I'm 6'2" 210 lbs, and I ordered a L in Black). And I found it to be surprisingly warm, given how light it is.
I am sure it will be my go-to jacket in the spring and fall.

Just wore this awesome, lightweight jacket up Mt. Democrat in gale force winds! Kept me warm and protected from the wind at 14,000 feet. Then, when it was warmer coming down it easily folded down to a small size to throw into my small hiking pack!! I love it!!

Bought this for the express purpose of wearing with only a t-shirt underneath during temps between 30 to mid-50's. Works exactly as I had hoped. Stops the wind and light rain while staying cool enough to do light work.

'Very very excited with the revision of the Atom LT Hoody. Honestly, I wear it on the daily - it's such a versatile piece of gear. I throw it on for my morning workout then transition to my home office with it on and don't even have to change when taking a brisk walk outside to clear my head. I love this piece which is probably why I own more than one!'

Very happy with this purchase which kept me warm during the unseasonably cool spring. I bought this to replace my 5 year old down jacket and expect this will keep me warm during the winter months when layered with a soft shell or fleece.

I first purchased this coat a few years ago while visiting my son in Seattle. I T WAS SO Warm I wore it as my only coat until temperatures were below 20 degrees. If temperatures were telos 20 degrees I could layer it with another coat. It protects you from wind and elements. When my coat needed replacing I purchased another. It was best coat I ever purchased.

I tried on both the new and the old versions of this jacket, and I definitely prefer the updated version. The fit is much better than the old jacket. I'm 5'4" and 105 lbs and got an XS. The old jacket was about 1-2 inches shorter in the front, so the new jacket is a little longer. The sleeves on the new jackets are also about 1 inch shorter, which works well for petite people. I hated the sleeves on the old jacket because the sleeves were too long and bunched up at the wrists.
I wore it on a hiking trip in the Rockies where it was snow covered with temps in 20s, and I was comfortable with a tank top, a fleece midlayer, and this jacket as the outer layer.
