I had to size up for the Spyder Orb Pants to a 6. For comparison, I am usually a size 26 in jeans, a 0 in NYDJ jeans, a 2 in Jag jeans, a Small in Lole and Prana and an XS or XXS in Eileen Fisher. They are slimming in the sense that when wearing them I don't look like I'm wearing lined pants. The bottom has a slight flare and does make noise when walking, but not as bad as with some ski pants. The inseam is perfect for my 5'4 1/2" frame, 120lbs. The rise is pretty high but not uncomfortable. In fact, these pants are stretchy enough that I could imagine traveling in them. I dislike the white logo stitching (in two places) on a black pant, but these will be my go-to pants not just for snow activities, but for running around town in the winter because I hate being cold. For me, leggings, tights, and skinny jeans are just not warm enough on the coldest days. FYI, the pants are a bit longer on me than on the model in the Zappos photo.

I so wanted to love these pants, but they just don't fit my body. I ordered an 8 my usual size, way small in the waist, so I returned for a 10, still small,( a least I could closure the waist but uncomfortable), so I ordered a 12. The 12 fits my waist but the legs are too long and much to complicated to hem. I love Spyder and I know this brand runs small, but no luck for me with these pants. So happy Zappos is so easy to return items! Still looking for ski pants.

The pants run very small. I usually wear a size 8/ my waist is 28 so not that tiny. The 8 was super small so I ordered a 10. I can button the 10 but not comfortable, so I am now ordering a 12. I love this brand, the quality is excellent, but it does run very small. I'll write later when the size 12 arrives to see if those fit. Super cute and warm, but I need to button them!
