Great shirt, at 6ft 2 and slim, the medium fitted perfectly. The design although may seem like a lot of other flannel shirts is really unique and people do notice it!

The Bernal Shirt has the same pros and cons as the other Arc'teryx shirts I own (the Skyline and Elaho): the fit and style is generally excellent but the fabrics abrade and pill easily after just a few wears. I have only worn the shirt for my urban commute (on foot and by transit), mostly under another layer, but there is significant pilling on the lower back area and some appearing on the forearms. This is the same issue I've had with other Arc'teryx products. By contrast shirts from other brands, while not as stylish, have fared much better for longer and under more duress (hikes with a heavy load etc.). A hesitant recommendation depending on your use case, I would advise against carrying a pack when wearing this shirt.

I really love my Bernal shirts from 2016 so I bought new ones online. When they arrived I was disappointed. I like that they updated the collar to a more modern slim square look, but I really miss the omission of the synthetic chest pocket. I get a lot of complements on my old Bernals - and the pocket makes it stand out from other flannels. Great mix of old school and modern. The new one is just some flannel... And on that note.... it's not actually flannel. It's just a long sleeve cotton poly button up, slightly thicker than Arc's normal cotton button ups (Brohm, etc). Finally, the fit is nice around the waist, but the back/shoulders are too tight to reach for things or tie shoes... and before you assume I'm buying the wrong size, I actually used to be a fit-model for prototypes at the factory. I am the benchmark Arc'teryx medium.

I love this shirt, the fit is great, the colors are as shown online, but unfortunately after only one use and one wash cycle, the fabric is now in poor shape. A shape that I would expect from a shirt after more than 15 washing cycle.
