This looks awesome in photos and in the video but once I received it, my opinion changed! I sent it back. This thing is stiff leather. I know they say will time blah blah… that’s cool and all with certain things. I also didn’t care that there was no strap to hold it by other than the two long straps. It’s not as spacious as I’d like and the buckle closure is to frustrating.

I just got this bag today. I wasn’t sure about it at first. The leather felt dry and stiff. But I remembered my days of horse riding and caring for the leather tack and I decided to oil the bag. Wow! What a difference! The color deepened and the feel is more supple. I used grapeseed oil, but any neutral oil would do. I’m super excited to have this great leather bag and to maintain it with regular oil treatments. I am sure it will break in and become truly mine!

This backpack is too large to be a “mini” but only large enough for an iPad. The zipper on the main compartment is deep from the top of the backpack design — meaning it’s effectively a few inches smaller than it appears. There are so many useful pockets that I’ve replaced my casual purse with this backpack. Style is definitely ranch-rugged (leather in product image appears slightly more refined/polished) but you might be able to pull it off with a professional outfit if styled right. Back straps are very adjustable, can be worn low and long. It’s sturdy and I’d feel comfortable running through rain without worrying about any electronics inside getting wet. A keeper, but not for everyone.

I absolutely love this backpack. It’s adorable, the style is great, the color can be paired with any outfit, and it’s a great size. The only downfall is it’s uncomfortable. There is a seam in the leather straps that rubs your arms, making it uncomfortable unless you have a long sleeved shirt on. I really wanted to keep it but just couldn’t get over this simple flaw. I love this backpack... but I have two issues. When I received it, the leather was really dry and stiff. I oiled it about 3 times, letting the oil soak in, then repeating a few days later. That made the color better and the pack was really nice. My biggest problem is that the stitching is kind of shabby. I’ve had mine for 4 months and I’m not hard on it at all. There’s already a hole in the bottom where the stitching has come loose. I like it enough that I plan to have it repaired if possible. But it’s very disappointing.

Leather very stiff

Oh my! This bag is made of extra thick, sturdy leather. It will last a l-o-n-g time I'm sure. Unfortunately I am too old to wait for it to break in! I was trying to replace another leather backpack which I gave to my son. This one is the right size for me, but way too heavy, I can't even imagine what it would weigh if filled up. Also - it is difficult to tell from the video, but the zipper for the main compartment is difficult to access as it is a bit recessed, and the way the top of the bag is situated, it is also difficult to get into the bag itself. If you are young get it, the price is right, but you will not find it broken in until you are middle-aged! Funny how the Zappos box with the pack in it didn't seem as heavy as the bag itself :)
