I love this shoe and have worn this style for years. However this new design has one flaw. The toe is all fabric where it used to have the rubber come up over the top of the toe. Since it is all fabric, I have worn a hole through both shoes where my big toe hits. I have had to sew up that hole twice. The shoes were only a few months old when this happened and there is still plenty of wear left in them. I hesitate to buy more until this problem is solved.

Due to a heel spur that makes most shoes uncomfortable, I have been wearing New Balance slides for years. The 990 slide was perfect, with exactly the right width for my duck feet. The Sport Slip 900 is pretty good, but not quite wide enough in the toe area. As long as they are available, I will keep wearing them.

I wear a 6 1/2 D in NB sneakers and have had a hard time finding the correct size in this style. It's 6 1/2 B. These shoes are super wide!

Normally wear 9B (B=standard width). Ordered 8B, based on reviews saying these run small. 8B is too small--big toe is up against front of shoe, heel falls right end of shoe, width is especially snug. Am returning 8B and ordering 9B. (The difference between whole sizes is 1/3" which I hope will be the right fit for a slip on, as snug is Okay, just not too snug). (If it helps the 8B pair was grey and am ordering 9B in grey also).

I prefer the old 801, which was more comfortable and looked nicer. However, you can't get them, so get these. They run about 1/2 size larger. I had to return them. Way too roomy. The 1/2 size smaller was better, though still not snug. Alas, my old 801's are way more comfortable .

I have a 3 pairs of New Balance sneakers that are 6 1/2 D so I thought these would be perfect. They turned out to be way too big, even with socks. I'm trying a pair that is a size smaller.

Very nice looking shoe, unfortunately, I have a bunion on one foot, and even the wide width was painful, ordered the next size up, hoping it fits better

I liked these shoes but they were a bit too wide/loose. I usually wear a medium width and that is what I ordered. They also did not have as much arch support as I wanted.

I was hoping for a shoe just like my first pair, which are white and blue 801s. I prefer the material in my 801's, and the color. But I'm glad I found that you still have slip-on's, which I need. So, in summation, my 801's are wonderful, these new ones will do.

I love the product but the sizing is definitely too large. I tried my usual size 8.5 and walked out of it. I went to size 8 and almost did the same thing. I then tried a 7.5 and that was perfect. Now I am a happy person!

I've only had them a short time but I have mixed feelings about the New Balance WA900v1 Walking Shoe in Air/MoroccanTile/Guava. First, the down side. I should have listened to the many reviews that said the shoes felt large. I ordered them in my New Balance go-to size and then had to order down a half size. The biggest issue I have is the weird puckering at the toes. I have never experienced this with New Balance shoes. I saw a review with the same complaint and thought the shoes must have been defective but mine are similar. On the positive side, after I got the sizing right the shoes are super comfortable and the color is very pretty. I decided to keep them because I like New Balance and these are so comfortable but I really miss the New Balance slip-ons that I owned in the past.

I love these shoes. They do run large. I wear a 10 normally with my orthodic. I ordered a 9.5 and as is it was too big and wide. Once I put in my orthodic it fit fine. I can walk long distances in comfort. I have purchased this shoe in all 3 colors

Buy a whole size smaller. I have ordered this shoe in a 10, 11, and 12 medium. Normally, I wear a 12 (left) and 11 (right). I am ending up with an 11 (left) and 10 (right). This is a mixed bag for me. I am a BIG 12 on the left foot, and the 11 fits, and the 10 fits my right foot. There is plenty of room to spare in length and width. I guess this is kinda good, because often my left foot is BIGGER than a normal size 12 shoe. However, I would appreciate consistent sizing. I also wear a men's size 12! That's how big my foot is, and I am shaking my head that I am wearing a ladies' size 11.

These are a very comfortable walking shoe. My fear is that they might fly off when walking, however so far no issues. I prefer an open back shoe because I have ingrown toenails. The space in the toe area is perfect for me.

I LOVED the original slip on sneaker. I agree with the other review...the original were better...a better fit; that being said, they are not bad! I wish they came in more colors

I’ve worn a pair of original 801s for years. Finally had to replace with this new 900 version. As others have stated, the 900 runs longer and wider than the original 801. I wore 9 D (wide) in the 801, but take an 8 1/2 B in the 900. It doesn’t look larger or wider at first glance. Sole to sole comparison shows the 8 1/2 to be almost identical in length to my old 9, perhaps shorter by a tiny fraction. The medium fits like the old wide. I tried both 8 1/2 D & B and the D was impossibly wide, even with socks. Fit is the same, leaves about 1/2 inch space between my big toe and front end of shoe. I like having that room because these are the shoes I use after sweaty fitness classes when my feet are largest. I also have a space behind my heel and the rear edge of shoe which again is my personal preference. However, the 900 design has a lip, about 3/8 inch, at that rear edge which is annoying. It feels like the shoe is going to fall off my foot. The 900 fits my foot in length identical to the 801. But there’s something different, perhaps in the design of the width and certainly that clunky lip, that makes the 900 feel uncomfortable. I’d prefer a true slip on without the lip. It’s not high enough to keep the foot centered, nor low enough to ignore. I’m going to try an 8 B to see if I can get a better fit— this is my most used shoe style for quick trips outside, to the gym, etc.. The arch support is okay, not as much as I like for my high arches. I may try adding an arch support to see if it will help increase support and take up enough space to make it fit better. My best advice to others: start a half size smaller than your normal fitness shoe size; if you are a normal D or wide, the B or medium will probably fit; if you are a EE or extra wide, then the D will probably work for you. I’ll never understand why the fit last or basic design of a winner of a shoe has to be changed by product gurus. New colors and materials, sure, but please keep the fit.

I am an 8 1/2 in athletic shoes, and an 8 in these was perfect. Size 8 is my normal nonathletic shoe size. I have the 990 NB mule from 3 years ago. They hug the foot more, have more arch support, and have a higher back which is much better. This 900 mule seems to fit looser, and the back iser lower. You could walk out of the shoe. There is a moderate arch. That being said, I am keeping them as house shoes.

I have a pair of the old 801s that I have worn for years. I found these are quite a bit wider. Since I will wear these mostly at home, I chose to keep them and wear a thick sock with them. They are quite comfortable right out of the box. I would have also liked the suede material instead of the new mesh. I wonder about wearing them in winter.

Sneakers are very stiff and constructed compared to other previous New Balance clogs or mules. They could be more comfortable than they are. I've tried every other brand as well, Easy Spirit, Sketchers etc... and these are better than most of the other brands. There is one Easy Spirit shoe that looks a little better and is not quite so stiff. I rue the day New Balance stopped making style 801. I am so frustrated trying every imaginal sport casual walking clog or mule and nothing has worked in all the years since New Balance stopped producing style 801. I had scoured the internet and bought every pair available (so few). So I had several white pairs, and I've kept washing them over and over in the machine. They come out clean and fresh but, they're unquestionably shot - seams are opening, ends are frayed, but they are clean! The problem is nothing compares. If you agree with me, reach out here and let Zappos know, and reach out to New Balance. Maybe they're tuned in to us and will make our dreams come true.

Heels seems wide and I kept slipping side to side in shoe. Also, feels like I could fall backwards as my heel seemed to go lower than toes somehow. Like them, but just think I will get a twisted ankle from the lack of stability. Also the "N" is very reflective and lights up in dark house with just lamps on.
