If you like these, buy an extra pair because NB stopped making a similar model a few years ago and who knows how long the new version will stay in production? These are great if you don't wear shoes in the house and want to be able to quickly slip into something when you go outside. They take an orthotic nicely, and work fine for walks around the neighborhood (although I'd suggest lace-up shoes when going on longer walks because your foot will slop around a bit due to the lack of any heel support). They're quite light, so they might not last as well as more expensive shoes. But time will tell ...

For the last 10 years I have worn the NB 801 through all kinds of conditions and loved them. I stayed away from these because of the reviews that they weren't as good. I decided to buy them and compare to Stegman Leather, Stegman Felt, and Rockports (Lite 5 Clogs). These NB's were far more comfortable and they have endured mountain hiking without any problems. They are about half the weight of the 801's; lighter because they have no leather and more modern constituents in the sole. Also, the footbed is different and more comfortable than the 801's and surprisingly more supportive than the Rockports. The Stegmans were a different animal: the leather clog was hard as a rock both in both sole and footbed. The wool felt with the flexible sole was supportive but too warm for the summer. The leather with the rubber sole was extremely wide and extremely heavy. This NB MA900v1 won out in my clog competition!

Cheap shoe so disappointed in NB ! WE have been waiting for a new mule for our elderly father who LOVED the one a few years ago. Very well made tough material, excellent sole and they come out with THIS???? A toenail could easily rip through the flimsy material at the toe and the middle was very binding on a WIDE shoe, cut across the middle of his foot. Doubt this shoe would last long.........not worth the COST at all!!!

I have owned numerous NB shoes in 8 4E including the old version of this clog. In this shoe it was way too short and too narrow. A 9 4E was long enough but tight in the toe box and across ball of my foot.Over the years I've noticed NB labelled made in USA are more generous in size, esp. width. Shoes made in S.E. Asia are often narrower.

These are great shoes. My husband is wearing them after hip replacement surgery. They are comfortable and supportive AND he can put them on without needing to tie laces. It's the feel of a quality sneaker with the convenience of a clog.

These fit perfectly. This is my second pair. Some reviewers have questioned whether the uppers are tough enough to handle hard usage. I was wearing these when I caught the top of my foot on the sharp corner of a storm door. It made a slight mark, but didn't tear through and the shoe was perfectly wearable afterwards. If I had been barefoot, I probably would have ended up in the ER. So, I'd say the uppers are plenty tough and cut resistant.

While the overall comfort of the shoe is excellent, the construction is garbage compared to the NB 801's I was trying to replace. The 801 upper part was mostly leather while these are cheap nylon. Don't think these will last anywhere near as long as the 801s which are looking kind of ragged but still hanging in there! These shoes are as comfortable as the 801s though--bought them for my plantar facitis (?)

Perfect fit and feel right out of the box. Wore them out that evening. I'm one of those "lucky" women who must occassionally buy men's shoes to get the wider widths I need. These clog-type shoes are perfect. I kept the insert that came with the shoe and feel that it's just as effective as my orthotics. Someone reviewed that the material used in the shoe was cheap. I don't feel they are cheap at all. I'd be a happy camper if the style came in more colors, but it is a men's shoe afterall. Would definitely buy another pair.

Really liked this shoe. Comfortable, easy to slide on. Would prefer the heal lip to be a dite taller.

Lightweight, good fit, look good. I like that I could get a 12.5 instead of a 13. Perfect fit. Half sizes are great.

I ordered a half size larger, but the usual width. The half size was necessary in order to get my foot into the shoe because of the rise in my foot. They fit well and are serving their purpose for wearing around the house. Because I have very flat feet and I usually go barefoot around the house., My heel was bothering me a great deal. My Podiatrist told me I need to wear shoes around the house. He felt that this would help ease the pain. I bought these shoes to wear and after a short period, it has eased the pain in my heel. I guess my barefoot days are over.

Very comfortable. Great fit. Only "Con" is the back is a fraction of an inch too low and tends to roll over easily.

Was very disappointed in the shoe. I had a pair of style 810 earlier and the provided great support. The new style is nowhere near the quality and support of the earlier one. I returned the shoes

This shoe is not designed well. My heel keeps popping out as if this is supposed to be some sort of flip flop. There is no support whatsoever in the heel. I would recommend you notifying New Balance about this issue. Unless a peron has no regard their your heel support, I would never recommend this shoe until New Balance corrects this flaw.

Awesome to bad they discontinued

As we all my previous New Balance shoes, these fit just fine, needing no break-in phase.
