I wore my pair for the first time to Arrowhead for the recent Colts-Chiefs playoff game. It was cold and a giant winter storm blew in the hours before the game. We had to park what seemed like miles from the stadium and walked over icy uneven ground that slowed us down. I was surprised by slush puddles several times (not realizing until later that the shoes were not waterproof). However, my feet stayed dry, warm, and comfortable throughout the game and after. That evening, when I returned home, I removed the shoes to clean the dried mud from the suede and was able to brush it off completely with my hand! It was at that moment I felt I had made a great purchase. I am sure I will have the Mids for a long time. When I took the shoes out of the box, I thought they looked small, but slipping them on I found them sized just right for my feet. I have large feet for my height and have found hiking boots give me a clownish look, but the deceptive profile of the Mids makes my body seem proportional. I stood on ice in the stadium for five hours and did not give my feet a thought--they are warm. The shoes are not waterproofed, but I plan to spray them to help with water resistance. Again, no water leakage from my harsh treatment of the Mids on the slushy streets. Support was great--I have issues with arch support. The soles flex like champions and the great tread give me a secure feeling on slick surfaces. Last, and perhaps most important, the shoes are a great bargain. They should last me a few years. I recommend the World Hiker Mid.

I cannot believe how i got this deal but best $50 i have ever spent. Pictures just don’t do justice, These boots looks way better in person! Very comfortable. Light weight just how I want it. Just perfect! I would definitely recommend if you walk a lot in the cold.

Bought these for my husband. He is obsessed with them ... says they are the most comfortable shoes he’s ever worn - like marshmallows for his feet - and that he’s never taking them off! ??

I bought these for a recent winter trip to Europe, so far they have been comfortable, warm and I appreciate the light weight. I didn't buy them as a fashion item, but I've had several complementary comments. I would strongly recommend them.
