These run a full size big. I’m a 10, 9.5 was still too long. They’re also a little wider than I’d expect for a D width, and I have moderately flat feet with a low instep. Returned the 9.5, we’ll see how the 9 fits. I recommend starting a full size lower than your normal. Also, when you lace up, there isn’t much space between each side; they lace up narrow - if you care about that. The leather laces are better than I expected; soft and workable, not stuff and crappy.

Excellent boot. Sizing seems to be the trickiest thing to get right in boots. I wear a size 12 Merrill running shoe or boot or Ugg boot, a 11.5 A or B in Allen Edmonds, Cole Haan and Thursday Boots, and an 11 in most Timberland earth keeper boots, John Varvatos, and Frye boots and shoes.
I have a very narrow foot, and the standard D width from Frye is usually pretty wide, but I tried the 11.5 and the 11 for this boot and found it fit on the narrow side, which was great for me.
The toe box is roomy both in height and width, especially compared to Allen Edmonds or Thursday, which tend to have tapered toe boxes. Today I wore them on their first walking tour of around 4 miles on frozen Chicago pavement and thought they felt excellent. Should break in quickly and well.
I'd also recommend:

A great boot. This model is still made in the USA. The more expensive pair of Frye’s I purchased ran a full size larger and were made in China.

This pair of Frye boots marks the fourth set I've purchased in my life. They are an investment - pricey, but they outlast any other brand I've found. True to history, the craftsmanship and attention to detail are unparalleled. I wasn't sure how the cap toe would look (not typically my style), but they come across as classy without being too elaborate. I couldn't be happier about the purchase.
They fit true to size and width and have moderate arch support. They are well-shaped and seem to "cradle" your feet. The color of "Cognac" describes a very broad palette. Perhaps Frye does this intentionally to account for variability in each hand-made pair. My pair is a uniform, darker, brown (vs., say, milk chocolate).

I ordered 3 pairs of these boots in sizes 10, 10.5, and 11. I wear a 10.5 the Frye Engineer back-zip boot. The 10 was still too big in the Logan Brogue Cap Toe. Hoping a 9 works because these boots are designed and constructed very well! Really want to own a pair of these!!

I wore these shoes all day the day after I received them, and they felt like I was wearing an old pair of shoes that have been well broken in. You can not beat the quality, looks, comfort, and price!!
I highly recommend, and give it an all around 5 star without a blink of an eye!!

A handsome, well-crafted boot. The leather has rich shine and scent. Very comfortable without an significant break-in time.

I'm absolutely in love with the Brogue cap toe boot. Clean look, yet tons of detail and comfort. This boot comes a little stiff and wil need to be broken in but a great fit and super stylish. I normally wear a size 10 and had to go down to a size 8.5 for the perfect fit. All in all, my most favorite versatile boot in my collection. I'm a Frye customer for life, Thank You Frye!

The quality and style are top notch. Rugged yet classy. As for fit, a 9.5 fits me perfectly though I am size 10 in most other boots and Chuck Taylors, and 11.5 in Brooks running shoes.

Have been wearing these for several weeks. Although I liked them immediately, these are appreciated and enjoyed more and more each day. In a word "stellar" boots!

I love the design, quality, and feel of these boots. The leather is superb, and they're comfortable right out of the box. The other reviewer was absolutely correct, though - these boots run large. I wear a size 11. I ordered an 11, and it was way too big. I exchanged the boots for a size 10 1/2. They seemed to fit well, so I kept them. About a week later, the leather had expanded slightly, and now they're too big. Like, uncomfortably big. It's really disappointing, given that I saved for these boots for a long time and likely can't exchange them again as they've been worn a few times outside (full disclosure: I haven't had time to contact Frye yet about a second exchange, so I don't know if they'll refuse the exchange or grant it.) Lesson learned: order a full size smaller than you normally would. The boots are great - but Frye should have informed customers about this possible sizing issue in the product details.

I bought for my husbands birthday. We saw in the Frye store and he really liked it. This boot is definitely sexy! He loves the feel and fit. Just a tad of break in time. But he says super comfortable right from the beginning. Very well made.

This boots are, by far, the most beautiful well made boots I have ever seen and owned. The attention to detail from the lining to the exterior is amazing. These have quickly become my favorite pair of boots to wear and the customer service is responsive and helpful.

I bought these in size 10 since my engineer boots fit great. Unfortunately I had to return these as they are too large. They run at least a 1/2 size large. Frye should post on the site these boots run large.

I grew up in the boot business and had my first pair of Frye Boots when I attended college years ago. The Logan Brougue boot is my 3rd pair of Frye Boots, and I am amazed at the craftsmanship of this boot. It's hard to find a high-line boot maker that will leather-line a boot the way this boot is lined. Don't let the price scare you. These boots will likely last for many years.

I'm a size 11 normally, in most shoes/boots. Took a 10.5 in these and fit perfectly. Wouldn't need much break-in time at all. Leather is supple and boot is nice overall.
The leather work around the top of the boot though, where you physically push your feet in and pull them out at the top around the edge has an incredibly slim band and is stitched very marginally to the boot leather itself. Out of the box, on one boot, this had already come away from where it was meant to be stitched. You have to wonder how such a proud USA manufacturer could let such an easy QC check be missed. In my opinion this had never been stitched in originally, it just looks like it was missed from the get-go. Is this why they were discounted to start with???? (See pic). Although minor, it's likely to get worse from the heel being removed. Not a fan on this front on that.
Anyway, other than that, color of them is 'cognac' - which seems to show a darker, deeper color online - when mine arrived, the dye / color on them was more a solid brown. Not very cognac at all. (See pic for color).

Ok, I've been putting together a collection of boots over the last few years so I have good experience with Frye, Red Wing, Wolverine, and Chippewa. Each has their own positives and negatives.
Frye's generally are a little more stylish than the others, a little less work boot styled. These are no different. I love the brogue style on the boot, Frye has done this on a few boots that I own and I think it gives a great profile.
These are marked on this website as "Made in USA" but they are marked in the boot as "Made in the USA with foreign and domestic components" not such a big deal at the sale price, but at the full price, they probably should have full domestic parts (except perhaps the sole).
The inside of the boot is made of a nice smooth leather, which helps get your foot into them, I have other Frye boots that are more difficult because the leather is rougher, and they don't have speed laces at the top. Also, the leather laces on these are better than others, they slide smoothly which is not always the case on other Frye boots.
These are a little on the big side, I don't mind because I like to wear insoles, but they probably aren't a full size bigger, probably half a size. I would order your regular size and use an insole, the insole in the boot is pretty hard. The boot is wide through the foot, I would think twice if you have a narrow foot, it doesn't look too bad, but definitely not dress shoe narrow. The toe has a bit of a bubble, similar to red wings.
Overall, these are nice, the leather is a bit stiff, but I have had Frye boots that were stiffer. The MSRP is high for these, you can get a Chippewa for the same price as these are on sale, and they are good boots and the leather is pretty nice, though they are not as dressy. I will be ordering Thorogood next, they are similar and a bit on the expensive side, but supposedly very comfortable and made 100% in the USA.

Boot was half size too big and the color is different than the online images and “cognac” description. This is not an oxblood shade as they appear, but more of a dark brown. Quality and comfort seem great though.

Very nice to look at but very uncomfortable. Narrow in the forefoot (like across the ball of the foot), too much room in the heel...who had a foot shaped like this? I get Frye is supposed to be a fancy brand but these shoes fit terrible. No arch or overall foot support to speak of, no real padding on the foot bed. Eeesh, no wonder they’re on sale. Thanks for having a great return process Zappos!
