I own one of these vest in almost all colors. I like to wear them to work. They look great with a dress shirt or long sleeve T-Shirt. Keep you nice and warm. I like the way the vest stays down when I am sitting so there is no gap between my pants top and bottom of shirt. Even though the "puff" of the vest is not slimming it does a fine job of hiding "muffin tops" when you sit down.

Very happy with this purchase! I decided to go with the asphalt grey since black was sold out and I love it. Fits true to size, isn't puffy or bulky. I'm 5'3, 110lbs and a size small fits perfectly with enough room for a sweater underneath. I would definitely buy this vest in other colors.

This vest was on sale for a great price. I was afraid it was going to be too shiny, but it is perfect! So cute, have received many compliments. Fits true to size. I bought a medium. I'm 5'5, 34C 130. It is a little roomy, but I think the small would have been too fitted

I love this vest! It’s warm and comfortable without the bulk of many vests. I spoke with Matt in Customer Service in order to exchange it for another size. He was very pleasant and professional. I received my new vest within 2 days. Overall, a great shopping experience, love the vest and I’ve received many compliments.

I am 5' and weigh 120 and needed a medium which was not available. I needed it right away for a vacation and though I could use the medium the small fills in quite nicely. It is light weight, very soft and comfortable.

I live in Seattle where it's pretty windy, cold and rainy. This is perfect when I don't need a rain jacket or want to layer too much. I can wear a sweater or hoodie underneath and this vest keeps my core warm! I am 5'7 and 130 lbs and got a medium and exchanged it for a small. I wish I hadn't exchanged it because the small feels a bit too tight with a hoodie. The medium was slightly too roomy and the small is a bit of a cozier fit. I ordered these online so it was difficult to know the sizing. However, I can opt to wear thinner sweaters/hoodies with this vest.

I own most of the colors. I live in Tennessee. In the Fall, Winter, Early Spring this is a great piece. I wear it all day and at work. It keeps you warm enough walking from your building to your car so you can skip an outside jacket. If it is raining or really cold I use it as a layer piece. The sizing is correct. As with any down piece it is not slimming but this vest is not too puffy. I like that I can use a simple long sleeve T-Shirt under which will really change the look depending on the print of the T-Shirt.

I wore this in 33 degree weather and was warm. And then wore it is 60 degree weather and it took the chill off. Very comfortable.

The only vest I found that actually fits me. The XS in many other brands/styles was way to boxy. It's a little heavy for what I wanted, but fit well and good price. It bit still, but I'm guessing it will soften up over time. I'm 5'3" and 100 lbs.

Bought this vest for layers on hikes. I've tried on several brands and sizes and couldn't find a fit that accommodates my curvy hips without being too large and boxy on the top. The shape on the bottom of this vest fits for movement without creeping up!

This vest is lightweight but warm.

Great vest, but color is basically black.. looks lighter in picture. I returned it and got the lighter grey color.

Super Cute! This vest is great. I was concerned as to the size, as I usually wear a size 12. I was thinking I should order an XL since there would be a top underneath but after reading other reviews I ordered a large and it’s perfect.

Love this vest! It's not bulky, but a bit fitted; it's fashionable and practical! Great quality too, as expected from North Face!

Third time is a charm. I have this vest from last year in black and decided to order another color this year. I initially ordered the grey thinking online it looked like a blue-ish grey. In person it really looks like a shiney black. So I exchanged for the fig color. Beautiful color and ordered the XS like last years vest. This one felt a little smaller and my dimensions have not changed. So I exchanged again for a small. This fits with room but allows me to layer where as the XS would not comfortably. For reference I'm 5'3, 112 lbs. I'm very greatful for Zappos continued amazing customer service which allowed by to get this right on the 3rd try:)

Love this vest! I think I need the Jacket version now too for colder days when I need my arms covered. The fabrication is very soft, and I particularly like how soft it feels on my neck. The cut slightly tapers in and is figure flattering for a vest. I purchased the green...just because it is different (and my favorite color). I buy a lot of vests, but I prefer the quality of this one. I will probably be back for the white.

I purchased this vest in white, which is a fairly good white. I would have preferred a bit of a brighter white. I almost didn’t purchase it because I wanted a down vest and Zappos description of this vest is “Compressible Heatseeker™ synthetic insulation.” I saw this vest in a store well over a month ago and I was certain it was supposed to be a down filled vest. But Zappos said synthetic. I chalked it up to me having a false memory, so I purchased a different vest from Zappos, which I didn’t like nearly as much. But I kept thinking about it and finally went to the north face website and sure enough, the Aconcagua II vest IS a down filled vest AND has synthetic insulation on the sides, which reduces the bulk on the sides. But it does have down filling. So I purchased it from Zappos and returned the one I didn’t like. When the Aconcagua vest arrived, I carefully check the tags and yes, it is a down-filled vest with synthetic insulation on the sides. So I got the vest I wanted in the first place but had to go through the trouble of returning the one I didn’t want and wait longer for the right one because of Zappos error in the description. I hope somebody at Zappos reads this review and fixes the description on this vest. Now for the vest itself, it’s warm and comfortable but I really don’t like the dark gray lining. I think it would have looked better with a white white lining on a white exterior, although the gray lining doesn’t seem to shadow through at this point. It probably will though after it gets a little wear. It doesn’t have an interior pocket, not even a small one up top for your phone, just two zippered outside side pockets. It isn’t stowable with one of the side pockets. The neck isn’t real bulky, so that’s a plus, since I like to wear a scarf with it. It runs a little small compared to past North Face sizing. And it isn’t bulky at all for a puffer. So I give it 3 and a half stars.

I have these same boots in black. I had to return the size 9, which I always wear, for a size 9.5, which is perfect. I have a high arch and kinda narrow foot, but these boots are so very comfortable to walk in. That's why I ordered the same boot in brown. Incredible comfort and great style for under $100. Now that rarely happens!

Pretty color, very warm and well made. Seems run a little smaller than my other North Face down gear.

I ordered a size small and was debating between small or medium. The small fit perfectly fine—even has a slight tailored cinched waist look. The best is absolutely gorgeous in person

Not disappointed. I have the Aconcagua jacket so it was easy to invest in the vest. Same excellent fit, fabric and construction.
