Love the thumbholes on this jacket! Lightweight! the crop length hits the hip at a right length. Sleeves are little long for me, I ordered a M, and am 5ft tall.. Overall still a good buy!

I wish color was more vibrant

The jacket seems a little large but you can fit another layer under it and it still looks good on. There aren't any pockets on the inside which is a little inconvenient but the outside pockets hold a decent amount. It was great in 45 degrees (and a breeze) with a thermal layer underneath it but the bottom and the collar let cold air in.

This is my favorite ski jacket ever for spring skiing! I ordered it in white and plan to order in another color too. Very stylish! Even though it's down and very warm, it does not have an inside gator at waist level to prevent cold air from rising up. This is what you want when temps rise above 33! I would also like to see a few mor pockets to store ski pass, wallet and misc. All said this is a fabulous find and serves as a great winter to spring wardrobe find!

The jacket was fine. I didn't care for the color once it arrived. But will be trying something in a smaller size next time.

I walk a lotcold, hot, wet, dry weather. I needed a lightweight jacket I could wear on long walks in very cold weather. This jacket does the trick. It's stylish and lightweight. I got the white jacket and it's a great look. I got the medium but I think I could have gotten the small. It's warm enough to wear just one warm layer underneath. I don't need a heavy layer underneath. Nice jacket.

I bought this coat to down size a long, warm coat that feels bulky. I'm very happy with the warmth, color, and length. My only negative is the arm width. Though I sized up to get a looser fit, if I wear a thicker long sleeve shirt, it feels more snug than I like.

I bought this jacket in pink & love the color & overall design. Unfortunately I had to return it because it is too right across my chest but fits perfectly everywhere else. I was disappointed because it is really cute & warm!

As soon as I tried this jacket on in TNF store, I knew that I had to buy it. The jacket is SO soft, comfortable, and stylish. I live in northeast Ohio, where the winters can get bitter cold. Because the coat is very lightweight, I'm not sure that it will be warm enough for the below freezing temperatures. I haven't had a chance to wear it out in the cold yet, so I could be wrong about the warmth level. I noticed that most of the reviews claimed that the fit was tight on them, but I found that ran a little big around the chest/torso. I also wish that it had a hood, because I am not a fan of wearing hats. For reference: I am 5'7, 34B chest, 135 pounds, and I bought a size Small.

I bought this as a go to coat for cold Michigan winters. I would not recommend for long days being active in the snow but very much for an everyday cold weather jacket and for walks. I had to size up as it was tight in the chest/shoulder area for me. Love the finger holes they made it very comfortable. The stitching is very nice as well. I would buy this jacket again.

Nice coat and stylish, but the feathers come out all over the coat. Not sure I would recommend or purchase again.

Used for skiing

I bought this jacket last season in Red in my usual size medium. This is one of my all time favorites, color is gorgeous, tons of compliments, lightweight yet warm and comfortable. All was great until I went to my husbands holiday party where there were a lot of smokers. I laundered this jacket according to the label and all the down clumps up on the outer edges. On my third attempt, I keep breaking up the clumps every 10 minutes in the dryer on low temp. I have used tennis balls and sneakers but not much help. I have owned and laundered many North Face jackets over the years. This is my first issue.

The color is not as pictured. I thought this would be an icy blue. It is more like a blue purple psychedelic color. The collar is very white which worries more for keeping clean. The silver stitching was beautiful. I was disappointed that the pockets and collar did not have a fleece lining. For this price point I would have expected this. I returned because of weird color and lack of extras like fleece lined pockets at this price point.

The jacket was very high quality, which I expect from TNF. The fit was not right for me. The color (Garnet) was a bit different than described. Still a pretty jacket, light weight and appeared to be warm when I tried on. Just not the style for me.

very comfortable

The cute style of this jacket with its cross-stitch puffing attracted me and I was happy to find the color I wanted on The North Face website. On the negative side, the jacket is just not warm. I wanted a down jacket for warmth without bulk; I understood Holladown was not a real winter coat, only a jacket, but based on the description I thought it would work for moderately cool weather. I tried it out during a couple weeks of unseasonably warm weather - upper 40's to low 60's - but I was chilly every time I wore it, other than an afternoon when the temp reached close to 70 and I didn't really need a jacket at all. About the same time I bought the Holladown, I also bought a Levi's sherpa trucker jacket, which I also tried out during the same period of time (several times switching between them on the same day), and I was warm and comfortable every time I wore the Levi's but chilly in the Holladown. I am very disappointed in the purchase, though I have decided to keep it for wearing in the car when I hate to have any bulk. It is nicely lightweight, and I do like how it looks, just not how it performs. Sorry to be grumpy, but the package also did not ship or arrive when promised, and I thought it was not very good that TNF did not send me any notification, offer price adjustment, etc., for the shipping problem. I do have some other coats from this brand and have been happy overall, but had a disappointing experience with this purchase.
