Loved these boots and really tried to keep them. Tried three pairs of inserts with them but the shaft is about 6" tall and kept rubbing against my ankles. Really uncomfortable :(

I wanted to love these Dr. Martens but they really just felt uncomfortable around my ankles and the leather wasn't what I was expecting. They are very hard! I have other ones that I absolutely love but I need to return these.

Dr. Martens have never let me down! Perfect winter boot, easy to put on and take off. Extremely comfortable as I have fallen arches(flat feet)

I purchased these boots for work I did purchase a size 5 since that is my usually size when purchasing running shoes little did I know these boots would be super sturdy would advise go up a size or two these are my first pair of Dr.Martens. I will keep them even tho they are tight around my heel but if I keep the zipper half way down and a bit more use out of them hopefully they will eventually stretch out definitely matches most of my wardrobe so I’d hate to give them up just keep in mind of buying my next pair to go up a size so I can wear with my long socks.

They fit prefect. I wouldn’t size down or size up. I’ve worn docs for years and never have had to size up unless it’s the platforms. So cute for a fall/winter boot!

These. Beautiful. Boots!!! I ordered these in November and they were swiftly shipped to me via Zappos. I chose the ‘dark brown’ shade in size 8 US/39 Euro as nearly all of my other shoes that size fit me very well. I owned a few pairs of Dr. Martens shoes/boots many years ago—they were also size 8/39 and fit perfectly. So I was initially a tad surprised when this new pair arrived & felt a little too large for me at first. I did not know whether I should keep them or try to exchange for a whole size down. After very carefully wearing them around the house for a bit, I was happy to note I felt no rubbing against my heels or any other issues regarding the sizing. Structurally, my feet are on the narrow to normal width spectrum with high arches. There was no “break-in” period for me with these stompers; I first wore them on a long weekend vacation; they felt (and looked!) great the whole time. I have exclusively worn these everywhere since then. Through snow, rain, near freezing temps, icy areas—nothing seems to faze these babies. I am shocked yet ecstatic to report my feet have also remained dry & cozy warm throughout it all! This is a major feat (pun now intended), seeing as how I have a condition called Raynaud’s Phenomenon (which limits circulation to extremities in cold temps and can be downright painful in colder weather). I have come to REALLY appreciate the zipper openings on the sides, too—easy on, easy off! I have already raved wildly about them to a good deal of my friends/ family. Best Winter boots I have had in years for all the reasons stated above AND more. They might be my favorite pair ever, actually!!!

I bought these for my mom for cold winters in Wisconsin, they are very warm and she loves the extra traction. The only complaint she has is the top of the boot is a little tight and stiff around the ankle and tends to rub if you are not wearing the correct socks. We assume this will loosen and soften with time! Overall, great boot!

Nice looking boot. Well made. I like the zips on both sides. Only thing that bothered me was the collar of the boot fit closely around your leg - not that it was restrictive, just felt like the boot would be too stiff and rub on your legs when crouching down to pick up things. I wasn't sure if it would have been able to be broken in enough to soften up.

The boots are beautiful and they were comfortable for about 2 hours, then i started getting pains above my ankle. i had to take them off i could not stand the pain.

Have to send mine back. The liner of foot bed is crooked and has a huge lumpy wrinkle in it. Sooooo uncomfortable. Worried if that defect represents how the shoes are all made now. Sizing seemed right. 38 and I am a 7.5 Ankles were stiff but think they would break in. Disappointed. Unsure if I should try again.

I was disappointed to return. I am always an 8 however they were almost an entire size too big. Easy return with Zappos, so I will reorder a 7.
