1461 core olive (dusky) is what I got and I have to say I am impressed. I love these shoes - compact, classy, and the leather is better than the average DM's which are made in Vietnam. Fit is amazing, comfort is spot on... I have been wearing DM's since the late 80's and I have never stopped. Huge fan of the classics and am glad the quality is coming back (albeit gradually).

Both shoes make a strange clicking noise. Docs used to run a little on the larger side so I ordered down a half size.. First pair ordered ended up being snug and the second pair makes a clicking noise. Sadly, they also say made in Vietnam. It's sad how the quality of things has gone down. I used to recieve next day shipping from Zappos, now it takes a few days. I know that Zappos doesn't make the shoes but I've had to return so many it doesn't really make sense to order through them. I've received shoes in damaged boxes but the shipping box is perfect. So, this damage is from the warehouse. I've ordered shoes that look like they were throw in the box. I ordered a pair of clogs that looked totally different. This is very dissapointing because I used to enjoy shopping through Zappos.

Comfortable but there is a short break-in period in the heel area. Ordered blue in size 9. Had to go to size 8. Fits with moderately heavy socks. Lots of compliments on the color. I wanted a cross between a shoe and a winter boot. These will be great for errand running in the winter when a snow boot is not needed and would be too hot but outside it's cold, slippery or sloppy for a nicer shoe or tennis shoe. Love them. Expect to have them for many years.

These shoes run large. I had to get a size smaller. That being said, the experience of returning and re-ordering was really easy. Zappos is a really good online experience!

I wear a US size 10.5M, normally, and ordered these in UK 9 (US 10) and it fits near perfect with regular athletic socks. The color is pretty much black although there's a hint of blue in really bright light. It's a bargain considering regular black 1461's are more expensive. Nothing unusual with break-in and craftsmanship. So far so good!

Not sure how people walk in these. Deep heel blisters just wearing in house to try, and yes, I had socks on.

Classic look and fit...

Very comfortable from the first time I put them on

Usually, I wear an 8.5, but I got these in an 8 and they fit well. I bought the Cask Ambassador ones because I wanted something that was a little sophisticated but with an edge. The shoes didn't disappoint. Really comfortable out of the box. Walked around town in these and my feet didn't hurt at all. No rubbing. Perfect for the cold if you don't want to wear boots.

These shoes are well made, feel durable, look great and even though they are on the heavy side, fit perfect, great arch support and they feel great after a 10 hour day. Everyone has commented on the olive color and how great it looks. My first pair of Doc Martens and not my last.

I just recently bought these darlings in yellow . I have worn them several times. These shoes are awesome! They do run a little roomy, but because I have a tiny size 5 foot, I just have to use a sock to improvise. I bought the same shoe in blue moon color a few years ago, and those are holding up very well. I have been wearing Dr. Martins for last 20 yrs, and have never had to break any of them in. Great outta the box! Excellent quality! Of coarse Zappos gives the BEST service!

these only come in whole sizes. I wear an 11.5 and ordered a 12. Had to return and get an 11. Really like the look and feel of the brand. Nice heavy leather. It says blue, but as the picture depicts, they look black to me.

These are great! I had some issues at first, though. The first pair I'd ordered was too small, so I sent them back. They replaced them with a pair that was the correct size, but the insole was coming out! I sent those back and got the ones I wound up keeping. I love them. They look great, feel great, and I'm able to wear them to the office and outside work!

My husband had similar Dr Martens for 10 years. The inside of the shoe was leather and it was very comfortable. The inside of these new shoes are of much lower quality - he already has blisters. Will try to return.
