Definitely need a week of break in before they were comfortable but once broken in they are great! Currently still wearing my first pair of the Croftons. I have had them for over a year. I did wear holes through the insoles and ripped a lace but no other complaints! Ordered replacement insoles and laces from Dr.Marten for cheep. Ordered a second pair when I noticed that Dr. Marten had discontinued them. Wish I could have found a black pair.

Boots were very stiff but in a good way. Definitely need to be broken in but they are going to last. Love the fit and comfort. I have a need for more arch support and the foot bed is removable. This makes using my own inserts very easy. The sole is rugged and also a bit forgiving. Gives you some cushion.

Bought these boots to drive and operate equipment. The boot is tall enough to protect my ankles when climbing up and down my trucks. They were comfortable out of the box and have only gotten better with time. Love these boots.

Love these shoes. The first ones I got had a defect and part of the sole started to split after 6 months. Zappos handled a defective return and replacement no problem, and looking forward to the replacements.

This boot felt great as soon as I put them on. This was my first pair of Dr Martens and I really liked the cushioned sole. For operating/driving heavy equipment, these work boots feel great. Really like The dark leather style, too.

Great boots! They fit great and after they’re broken it a bit, they’re more comfortable. They aren’t black, more of a darker brown.

These boots have a wider toe box then the typical 1460 boots. They fit my feet great and seem to be very high quality. The "black" boot are more of a dark brown.

Amazing boots but they have a defect. I had the same problem two other reviewers had. It’s unfortunate because I loved them so much! Incredibly comfortable too. Returning now. I had them 4 months before they split open.

I love these boots, but after only 6 months the rubber sole has started to split. I work in an office, so I don't think I've been particularly hard on them. I'm hoping this is just a defect that can be fixed since I like them otherwise and would have expected them to last longer.
