I purchased this for my 7 year old daughter for future ski seasons so we haven't used this yet, however I can tell it has good quality and will work perfectly. The color scheme is also really good. It's hard to tell from the pictures but the pink fabric has a cute dot design that adds a nice detail to her snowboard outfit ensemble. It's nice because many competitors have strange color schemes and or patterns that are not attractive (even some of the other Columbia options). In short, it looks nice and should function well. What else do you need?

Columbia jackets, fleeces and all outerwear are just amazing. This is our second ski jacket for our 5 year old. The quality, durability and style are excellent. We are able to hand down the old one because it looks like new! The trade up program that Columbia has is also a great idea. We are lifelong customers!!

I bought this ski jacket for my 6 year old daughter. It is excellent quality with all the bells and whistles - excellent stitching and quality material, powder skirt, arm pocket for lift ticket, strong and smooth zippers, great fit and good long length. I bought it the day after christmas so I got it at a bit of a discount but even at full price this is a superb ski jacket that will last my girl several years. It also has the "outgrow" sleeves- which you can lengthen as she grows.

So the jacket is great for the snow and rain! And when it's not raining my little one loves to wear just the inner jacket! It is adorable on her, keeps her warm and is light weight! Finally we have a jacket that does what we need it to with quality!

I purchased this coat for my six year old daughter. She is tall/slim for her age and I purchased the XS; it fit perfect with room to grow. The coat is a nice material and feels like it will hold up nicely for recess. The back of the coat also dips in the back and goes over their bum. I purchased the Nocturnal Dots print and it's super cute. We haven't unzipped the layers but the inside coat seems nice as well. Also, the fleece lined hood is a nice touch.

This is our second purchase of the whirlibird 2 in 1 jacket. Our daughter grew out of her first one, and after reviewing the options out there, we bought this one again. It's the perfect combination of warm, dry, functional, and durable. Our daughter skis, so she needs something that can keep her warm and dry on the cold, wet days up at the mountain. But we also didn't want to have to buy a separate everyday jacket. I love that this jacket is cute enough that she doesn't mind wearing it to school everyday, and durable enough that she can wear it all season and still have it be in good shape at the end of it all. She was even able to wear her last jacket for two seasons! She usually wears the liner alone, unless it's raining. In which case, the shell keeps her plenty warm and dry. It's only on the coldest of days that she wears both pieces together. This jacket is perfect for my kiddos, and is well worth the cost!

My daughter loves the floral pattern in this jacket! It is so cute! We have bought several Columbia interchange jackets for our kids over the years and have never had any issues with zippers or anything else. They are always warm and waterproof which is so important as we use them for ski jackets. Excellent, dependable jackets. Just an fyi- we bought the starchaser peak II pants in purple and they match perfectly.

We bought this for our daughter, 4, for next winter. It was a great price and love the two layers. Able to use in the spring, fall and winter. We love the price of Columbia coats, it is all we use since she was about 18 months.

My daughter has loved this jacket so far! She likes that she can put the shell portion in her locker once she gets to school, & still wear the lighter liner jacket during the day! And it's super cute!

Bought a 2XS (4-5) for our 3 year old. Fits perfectly with room to grow. Warm, hood & inner jacket keeps wind out and warmth in. So far our 3 year old has worn in 20 degree weather and no complaints about being cold. Just love this jacket and highly recommend.

Good jacket, would be better with more 25% more fill in the liner. I know Columbia was going for less bulk but the reflective heat tech they use is not as effective at providing immediate and long lasting warmth. Jacket needs to be layered with sweater or fleece in very cold temps (20f or below). Waterproofing seems very good, material on shells seems pretty durable. Closures and hood are all good and don't seem to ice up.

We order this coat based on Columbia’s quality and a delivery date window of three days. Checked website that now has delivery in eight days. We could have purchase with Columbia directly with a faster delivery date. Very disappointed.
