I made the step from supernova's to Solar Glides and how impressed am I? These are absolutely cracking. I've definitely found my new go to running shoe for sure. Thoroughly impressed

Having been a longtime fan of the Supernova Glide 8 I feared that the Solar Glide would be closer to the Supernova 9: a good lifestyle/walking shoe and not so much a real running shoe. I was wrong! The Solar Glide is brilliant. The boost midsole is just the right amount and the solar rails appear to work. The continental outsole looks to be longer lasting compared to my Ultra Boosts.

I've always ran in Supernova Glide and on seeking a new pair when my old ones got too raggedy, I've been through two pairs of my usual 7.5 sizing and the fit just wasn't right so I gave Solar a go and they're amazing! Super lightweight but really supportive on the sole - and I love the way the tongue hugs your foot, makes for a comfy run!
10/10 would buy again.

I like the boost comfort and style, by far the most comfortable running shoes.

I believe these shoes are the replacement for the Supernovas. I was fan of the Supernovas and was a bit concerned with all the changes adidas made, but I'm happy to say I absolutely love these shoes. It addresses every single complaint brought up by customers regarding the Supernova. The tongue on the Solar Glide do not slide because of the non central position of the tongue's eyelet for the laces. The heel cup does a much better job at securing your heel in place. No heel slippage without any added discomfort. The Achilles region is more flexible and more comfortable than the already comfortable previous iterations. Adidas also improved on breathability and overall comfort of the upper. Another improvement is is the lockdown through the middle of your foot. Just be careful to not over tighten the laces as they create a lot of friction with the eyelets of the shoes, which helps securing your foot in place, but does take some effort to adjust the laces before your first run. It's smooth sailing after that first adjustment, though. One thing that I noticed, but only on my first 1/4 mile with these shoes was the edge of the tongue against my ankle. I thought that might become an issue before fully breaking in these shoes, but that feeling went away just a few minutes into my first run in them and has never returned. Although these weigh about the same as the Supernovas, these Solar Glide feel way more nimble and fast than its predecessor. The ride on the Solar Glide is a bit more responsive, and therefore ever so slightly harder, than the Supernova. To put it this way, the Supernova (Glide 9) distanced itself from the Supernova Glide 8 and got more similar to the Energy Boost (now Solar Boost). The Solar Glide go back to its roots and have a ride more in line with the award winning Solar Glide 8. It's still very soft, as it is a solid daily trainer, but now it has a noticeably faster transition as the forefoot of these shoes became slightly harder than its predecessor's. In short, these shoes are great for long runs and recovery runs, but will not let you down whenever you need or want to pick up the pace. These are my favorite daily trainers, but they are fast enough that I would race with these without hesitation. Adidas gets sometimes overlooked by runners because of the fanfare some adidas running get from casual wearers and sneaker heads. However, they should not overlook models like the Solar Glide or the Boston or many other models. These are absolutely phenomenal. I loved them so much that I even got a second pair for when I run my first Solar Glide to the ground. Even got it in the same colorway, as I find the blue/green color way amazingly beautiful. Just a small bonus to an already amazing running shoe.

I loved the updated upper & weight on this shoe. The previous version, the Supernova, was a bit too heavy/clunky for my taste but the new Solar Glide has a much more balance feel.

Great comfy shoe but on the large size - normally order 10.5 but had to go for 10 in this shoe

The width of the heel could be smaller but overall this a great shoe. Good bounce, good tongue and comfortable.

So far, the shoes offer very good support and comfort. Nice to have the Conti rubber on the ground. The look/feel of the uppers seems very plastic and cheap which lessens the appeal.

Good product but having come from wearing ultraboost definitely notice the missing boost at the front of the shoe. But for the price definitely getting value for money

Good shoe that is very comfortable. But I wish the quality was a bit better. But these are a lot cheaper than Ultra Boost, so probably why

I ordered the wrong shoe. I meant to order the ST. They feel good just a little too soft. I need to send them back.
