Full Disclosure: This is my first experience running in a boost shoe as claimed in the review title. Also, the runner this one replaces was a tongueless (Swift Run). Comparisons to my former runner: The engineered outsole shape of this runner is very similar to the one it replaces. That's a bonus. There is a little slip of tongue... which is the reason my former runner was a slip-on... but the design and material helps control it a bit. The laces are of a material the will likely slip loose (many do). I always double-knot though so no worries. Fit = TTS for a proper runner. I don't want a lot of toe-wiggle room or foot-sliding in my runner. The toe-box should be rounded close to the natural shape of the foot. The engineering of this runner addresses that. Comfort + Support is better than expected. I was nervous about ankle support in a boost runner. I thought the energy return would cause pain or ankle roll. The worry was unwarranted. This runner has a good balance of give and get in the way of just the right amount of boost + support plugs and other support features. The achilles support is there without adding unforgiving structure that would likely cause pain. Nice touch. I truly noticed the benefit of a boost runner when I warmed up and cooled down. My feet were very happy with me as were my ankles, knees and heels. The Continental outsole is perfectly grippy for road/pavement running. I'm looking forward to testing it just after or during a light rain. The fact this runner is attractive with lots of great details is immaterial but very much appreciated and expected from adidas. Get in!

The design of the solar glide st is very good and the shoe is very comfortable, a little narrow in the toe box area, but the fabric on top stretches well due to the lines cut into the fabric for this reason, and it looks good too this feature. The midsole is brilliant and the continental rubber on the base is very grippy.

This shoe offers excellent stability, is very well made and gives a great fit and feels like it will last. The problem with the shoe is the weight and boost. I've had many adidas boost shoes and due to the boost material they are relatively heavy, however, this has never been a problem as they always give an amazingly soft and springy boost ride which more than makes up for any extra weight you carry. These shoes just seem like normal eva soles, give a firm ride and no boost, this makes the run seem heavy in them. If the level of ride/boost was the same as the supernova st then these shoes would have been amazing, it's such a shame.
