I got these Dansko's to wear for surgery and ob/gyn rotations as a med student. These shoes definitely helped me survive standing in the OR for hours on end. The are the best version of Dansko clogs I tried. However, they are heavy and clunky. Generally they aren't a comfortable walking shoe just because they are so heavy.

I always wear a size 39 in Dansko Professionals, and I'm usually a US size 8 or 8-1/2. I purchased the XP 2.0 in my usual 39, but they were too big and I'm returning them. I'm keeping the Navy 39 Professionals that I also bought, as they're true to size. The next time I'm ready to buy a new pair of Danskos, I'll try the XP 2.0 in a 38. I liked the soft footbed on the XP 2.0, but for now I'll stick with my tried-and-true Professionals.

These are a very solid shoe and pretty cute, for a black clog. I got the tooled design so it has a little personality. I'm not a nurse but needed a solid comfortable shoe, especially after having both hips replaced and returning to work at a sit/stand desk job. They are softer inside than the regular Professional, which is really nice. But they are softer, not soft...the regular ones are very hard. I find them just right for me. You do have to get used to how they are worn and know that they are not snug on the heel or the toe, but in the right size, they do not come off. You just walk in them almost like you're barefoot. My feet feel free. I think they work your legs more to "keep you in line" since they are a rigidly structured shoe. I had a bit of break in period near a pinky toe where it would rub a little and on the band across my arch, which felt tight... but now I don't notice after intermittent office wear. My only complaint about these shoes is that even though I have high arches, the arch is quite substantial and can make my left arch ache if I wear them too long. It actually felt better in the next size up, but the shoe was too loose, so I wore them in spurts in the office to see if it would ease up, and either they have adjusted to my feet or my feet have adjusted - at least enough that I will keep them because they are a relief to stand in and kind of fun to walk in since you don't feel them very much. I wish they came in more office- and regular-life-friendly colors (and not just black and dark), because as adorable as the fun styles are, I can't justify the cost for a shoe that doesn't go with my clothes. If you've never worn these, I advise that you try them indoors on the surface you'll likely be wearing them most, a little at a time, and see if they are, or become, comfortable after increasing your time in them. They are pricey, but they are extremely solid. I love Danskos. They take some getting used to in many styles, but they are certainly well made and the footbeds are very supportive. Also, my clogs don't always squeak, but sometimes they do, and so do my Dansko walking/hiking shoes (always). Apparently, it's a thing, and not actually a defect, and there are fixes on various websites. If they do squeak you'll have to decide whether it's annoying enough to give them up.

I originally ordered a 41 since I’ve not had the best luck with Dansko sizing. I returned it for the 40, which are the same size as the pair I bought 10 years ago. Pattern is nice and subtle. They aren’t the same as my originals but you just can’t beat the comfort of these if you’re a nurse. My return/exchange was super fast and easy like always. Thanks Zappos.

This is my second pair of Danskos. The first pair was the Professional style. They were super comfortable, but I would slip often. Deal breaker was ending up flat on my back in my local grocery store one rainy day (INJURY to insult of being mandated to stay past my shift!) A fellow nurse recommended the XP, assured me they would be slip proof. So far so good. I wear a size 9; ordered the 39, and they fit perfectly. Super cute, and I can be on my feet for the entire shift without any pain. I highly recommend this style.

I’m disappointed...when you spend this much for a pair of shoes they should be perfect. Big gouge on the front of the shoe.

according to customer reviews you should order a half size larger. We did that and they were too big, exchanged for the proper size and they fit well.

They're a hair too small. I'm exchanging for the next size up, praying they're not too big. Thanks Zappos for making it easy!

This is my first pair of Dansko clogs, but I have two pairs of Dansko sandals I purchased last summer and really love. I wear size 8-8.5 in my other brands of shoes and prefer a medium to wide width for comfort. All three pairs are size 39 and fit about the same. My podiatrist recommended I try the clog to help with recovery from a joint implant on my great toe. It has taken me a few wearings to get used to the heel slipping. They are really comfortable even for long periods of standing and walking. I do not feel secure enough to walk on cobblestones or very uneven surfaces because of the heel slippage. I will save that for the sandals which have buckles. The brown pull up clogs are a very deep color and look very nice with either jeans or slacks.

This is my first purchase of this brand, my friends have them and love them. I do like them they are comfortable but need some breaking in near the top of my foot. I find that my heel slips out more than what I’m used to but apparently that is inherent in this shoe. My shoe size is 6- 61/2 i ordered 61/2-7 based on the reviews that they run a tad small, I received them and they were about 1/2-3/4 size too big. I exchanged them for a 51/2-6 and that is much better. Overall a good shoe just needs breaking in. Zappos made it soooo easy for the exchange, I will continue to purchase through Zappos just on customer service alone.

-I really like the cushioned sole. -I like the lighter weight design. -I wish they made my size (35) in wide, I might need to get them stretched. -I don't like how the brown color is already scuffing off after 7 days of wear. I have another pair of Dansko's that is the oiled leather finish. Going fwd, I would only get that, it wears much better.

The finish on my black patent Sanitas was flaking off, so I ordered black patent in the Dansko XP and the XP 2.0. There is a distinct difference in the two pair - the XP 2.0 were much "snugger" than the XP - I am keeping the XP pair and returning the XP 2.0 pair. I have worn Danskos for many years (15+) and have become used to the "loose" fit - love it, in fact and, as it happens, so does my foot doctor. He was wearing Danskos when he told me that if your shoes are snug enough to leave impressions on your feet (like sock seams), then your feet are too crowded and your shoes don't fit well. I love the XPs, and I highly recommend them.

Love the warm chocolate brown color of these danskos. The XP 2.0 are more cushioned than my regular danskos - I found these had less of a "break-in" period. Love them!

I absolutely love this clog! I have flat feet, a bad ankle, planter fasciitis, a hammer toe and some arthritis in both big toes. As a result have a very hard time finding shoes that both fit and are comfortable. These clogs fit and were comfortable right out of the box!! Comfortable with socks and without. The only problem I had is they squeak horribly when I don’t have socks on, so wonder if they are slightly too big. Very disappointing but I will return and try a different pair hoping these won’t squeak, if they do without socks like these but are comfortable.... I will be keeping and just wear socks or shoe liners with them.

I wore Dansko's in the past and loved the support but had concerns about the stability (I twisted my ankle a few times with the hard, high sole). I tried this XP2.0 version with the hope it would work. The support was great but the shoe was just too tight for my high instep. Sadly I had to return.

I love this shoe! I ordered the professional in a 38 and it was too tight. The professional 39 was too big. I ordered this shoe because I liked the print and I am so happy! I stand all day and my feet feel great! Great shoe!

I've worn Danskos for years. Not sure what's up with them anymore, but they're definitely not the same shoe that they used to be. Not sure where to go from here, but definitely disappointed. They're going back. They're narrow and not comfortable from the get go.

I was skeptical that these would be any different than my size 42 XP from 5 years ago, but I was wrong. I wore them right out of the box for two consecutive days of 12 hour shifts and was comfortable the whole time. Lighter than the previous version with a cushiony footbed, I felt no leg fatigue. Very happy.

I ordered a pair of these (Dansko XP 2.0) and a pair of waterproof Dansko Professionals. I like the Professionals much more than these because the arch support and sole are a lot more comfortable. The Pro arch and sole feel like they have more cushion and ‘give’. They also fit my foot better. I have very flat, low volume feet. Perhaps these fit better if you have high arches. Not sure. Other than fit and comfort, these shoes seem very well made. The leather is good quality and the black color and sheen of this style are very nice-looking.

I ordered these in Black Patent and returned them. Not only were they less sexy goth Margiela nurse and more goth clown, but I didn’t find the XP 2.0s to be any lighter or more comfortable than the plain ol’ Professionals – in face I prefer them. The XP 2.0s also squeak too much with each step! You already look clownish enough in Danskos, no need to sound like one too.

I've worn Dansko as a work shoe for years. Almost had to give them up, but then XP came on the scene and saved the day for my old, tired feet. I was no longer satisfied with the comfort, and was looking for something more lightweight. XP 2.0 to the rescue! More cushion, and lightweight! I wear a 43 in the XP, but had to size down to a 42 in the XP 2.0. Even so, the shoe feels a bit loose and my feet rattle around in them just a bit. Not too bad, but enough to take the comfort from 5 stars to 4. Love, love shopping with Zappos!
