while the MOST COMFORTABLE Danskos I’ve ever owed I’ve never had this happen to a pair (3 months old!!) I’ve worn Dansko for years the leather if the new light ones are leather, split where your foot bends near arch and the staples are coming out. I’ve tried posting this review several times and have not seen it…. I’m returning them and wanted Zappos to see the photos.

I wore my Dansko XP 2.0 for about a week once they arrived and the staples have already started to separate. Extremely disappointed considering her last pair lasted forever.

Extremely comfortable for standing and slow walking - best ever for visiting museum or being on your feet all day. Not so great for fast walking and surprisingly clunky on the stairs. Look great, very easy to slip on and off.

The size and fit were accurate! I've been wearing Dansko shoes almost exclusively since 2000 and have purchased at least sixteen pairs. I was not able to wear the Professional Clog as they were too short and too wide, but several other styles fit me so well I would buy two or three of the same styleh in different colors but always a size 39. About ten years ago I tried the Professional Clog again in a size 40 narrow and they may have worked but couldn't find them in a color I could use. In the meantime, I literally have worn out three pairs of Mary Janes and it was a sad day when I finally had to throw them in the trash! I. have been looking for another style to fit my needs since that particular Mary Jane is discontinued, and two years ago I purchased a couple pair of Dansko Mary Janes that were not clogs and look a little more traditional. While they are pretty, I have to add my arch supports to those shoes and they are still not something I want to wear for a day of shopping. So I have been reading reviews and finally hit the send button to order the Dansko XP 2.0 Clog. These fit very much like the 40 narrow that I didn't purchase. I wore them for the first time on an all day shopping trip and when I got home my feet didn't hurt!! By the way, I'm a 69 year old female, walk 6-8 miles a week, and in excellent health; so I'm not excited to have to sit down and put my feet up because my shoes are inadequate!!! My walking shoes are Brooks Ghost and I do have to add my atheletic arch support from Good Feet, but other than that they fit great. My first pair of Brooks were purchased in about 1980 and I've been pleased with each pair since then. I have a high arch and instep and wear a size 9/39 consistently. When I wear Dansko Clogs I don't need my arch supports!! About a week ago I found some shoes in my closet I'd forgotten about and wore them in the house all day. By the evening my back was hurting, which doesn't normally happen, and I realized it was because I didn't have enough arch support in those shoes. That's when I determined finally to sit down to order shoes from Zappos which has offered excellent service and shipping through the years. I also ordered a new style of Mary Jane's but it has a slightly higher heel than the clogs so I'll have to test that to be certain it will work. I know this is a lengthy review but I believe it helps to learn a little background from the person giving the review as far as their personal experience with Dansko shoes. Perhaps this will benefit someone else. Thank you, Dansko! Thank you, Zappos!

I have worn Dansko clogs for years. However, plantar fasciitis has flared up in recent years, and regular Danskos have a hard sole, hence weren't particularly comfortable. The padding in the XPs makes a huge difference, and I wear them all the time. I like these enough that I ordered them in black and brown, plus a spare pair of the black (as I have been wearing my first pair long and hard). The tooling is a nice touch--it makes scuffs much less visible and gives the clogs a less antiseptic (i.e., hospital attire look).

I don't think I've ever had a pair of shoes that felt SO comfy right out of the box! I have narrow heels so the heel area is too loose but it doesn't bother me because the arch support and spacious toe box are great. I have bad bunions and narrow heels which makes it hard to find the right shoes but these are definitely one of my favs to date.

These are my best fitting Danskos yet. The XP has better support than regular Danskos which is great as I am on my feet all day as a nurse practitioner.

Of all the Dansko clogs available this XP 2.0 is the cream of the crop. It is superior in fit and comfort to any of the other styles of Dansko clogs. I am a XP 2.0 fan and would like to see this clog made in lighter colors. Most of the colors have been dark ones but hoping for more lighter color options. This is the best clog of all. It's a winner!

These shoes were given to my daughter as a gift. To show how much she loves them she has worn them around the house, out on walks, in her housecoat and would sleep in them if they were able to fit under her sheets!

I have worn Dansko clogs for years as an RN and love the support they give my feet. This was my first purchase of the XP 2.0 and the additional cushioning on the footbed of these clogs is AH-mazing! Definitely worth the extra money if you spend 8+ hours on your feet. My foot funs on the narrow side and the medium Dansko clogs are always a little sloppy, but I like the larger variety of styles and colors available in the medium width.

These came just as I was recovering from foot surgery. Finally got to wear them. Fantastic! I've never found shoes with such perfect arch support. I have high arches and have always had to wear arch inserts. Highly recommend these shoes to anyone whose shoes leave them with sore, achy feet.

LOVE the insole of the XP 2.0 Much softer than the Dansko professional style- like a gel insert- yet it has the same look and heel height. Will order this style again!

I was between these and the Dansko Pro XP. The Dansko XP 2.0 has better arch support and cushioning. They are ugly as all get out but they are so stinking comfortable. I wear the patent leather ones to my office job.

I purchased the Professional and the XP 2.0 in the Tooled in Size 36 regular width for comparison. I previously had purchased the 36 wide in both styles as well. I have owned many Dansko clogs in the past and have had multiple foot surgeries. There are things I like about both styles. I liked the soft footbed in the XP 2.0; however the instep was tighter and the dip in the toe area was uncomfortable for my rigid toe that doesn't bend after surgery. The Professional is more comfortable on the top of my foot as I have a high instep and in the toe area even though it has a hard footbed. Also I prefer the look of the leather on the Professional over the XP 2.0. I was surprised with my very wide foot that I liked the regular width better.

I mean let’s face it, these are not stylish; however, as a physician they are the only shoes I will stand in the OR for 12 hours in. The sizing in this particular color combo is off a bit, usually wear a 40 but they were like a full size too big (I’m usually a 9.5-10). Had to exchange for a 39 which I am still waiting on. Biggest pet peeve is having to get a new pair bc u cannot buy new inserts but have to replace the whole shoe when only inside worn.

I ordered a 39 when in fact I ended up being a 38 in Dansko. Regardless they still seemed excessively wide compared to all the other Dansko clogs I’ve had in the past. This was the first time I tried the XP. I returned them and just ordered the professionals in 38.

To Rachel who wrote a review 10/15, I know people who have sent used beat up Danskos back to Dansko and they replace them. I know one girl who had a pair that developed a problem after a year, she sent them to Dansko and they sent her a new pair. You could try that. For the review: I’m an ICU nurse and I’ve had both Dansko Xp and pro for years. They’re all I will wear at work. These clogs are not perfect and my feet still hurt at times but I have literally never found anything better than Danskos. I think if you have a job where you’re in your feet most of the time, sometimes your feet are just going to hurt a little. Get the Danskos. You won’t be sorry.

There is nothing wrong with this shoe - it fit true to size and width, seemed to have good arch support, but within a minute I could tell that it would not have the shock absorption that I - overweight and missing all the cartilage in one knee - need. I sent them back, bummed, but I have to have a lot more cushion than what this shoe has. I would recommend them for the average person with no caveats, though - a great shoe, just not for someone like me.

If you have a high arch and wider top of the foot it may be a bit tight where the top of the foot meets the shoe. A bit narrow as well, if it weren't for the tight upper part of the shoe I'd have kept them, they felt incredible aside from that and hugged my feet perfectly, but simple was too right at the top of the foot to be able to keep them.

Nurse here!! Wow, where do I start? Long story short these Dansko had to be returned and did not work out for me and I’ll tell you why but first, MAJOR shout out to Zappos for always having excellent customer service when a shoe doesn’t work out. It’s been a journey to find a shoe that will not give me pain after being on my feet for 12 plus hours at my job and Zappos has been so good! I finally bought these XP 2.0 after a fellow nurse recommendation. I had tried “regular” athletic shoes and spent countless of dollars only to have burning pain shift after shift. The clogs in the beginning were great, immensely alleviated the burning and I could tolerate being on my feet all day. Then, surprisingly, about a week or so later the top part of my right foot starts with “digging like” pain. I thought maybe they were just too snug so I took them to a shoe repair place and had just the right one stretched. No avail. No matter what I did, the top part of my right foot had tremendous stabbing pain so much so that I couldn’t stand to keep wearing them. The bottoms of my feet were feeling great but not my top right foot. I placed cushion pad on my foot and everything. Turns out, I have come to find out I have high arches and apparently a higher than normal instep especially on my right. These shoes, as others have stated, are not meant for high instep feet. I was so bummed because I really wanted these clogs to be the final answer to my pain but it didn’t work. In fact, I still have an area to this day on my right foot that is still swollen from the rubbing/stabbing and it hasn’t alleviated. It’s very strange. What I found out is I need the support of the clog but with a lace up type enclosure. Well, they don’t make such a thing after endless investigation and research. If you don’t have high arches or a high instep, then these clogs should be a god send to you. They definitely ARE comfortable otherwise. After calling dansko, I am now trying the the Pace Mesh. I do have tailor bunions on each of my feet and usually try for a wide width but they don’t make Pace in a wide but surprisingly I don’t have any problems with that. I do however, feel the same irritation to the top of my right foot and thinking it’s due to my high instep. So I’m trying to lace these shoes in such a way that will give my instep area some extra room. The bottom of my feet with the Pace are surprisingly comfortable. Pace arch support is very sturdy. So still on the hunt for the “right shoe”. This whole experience has shown me I have very special, screwed up feet!!

I ordered the same style (XP 2.0) and same size in 2 different patterns. I've worn a size 40 in Dansko Professionals for years. One was true to size (the black floral tooled) and the other was too large (Fossilized Patent). I've read some complaints about the width being narrower and the instep being tighter but I didn't find any difference in these from Dansko Professional clogs I've worn in the past (I have high arches). This is the first pair of XP's I've ordered. The arch support does feels better. I would have kept the Patent if it fit properly.
