These boots are extremly comfortable and look great. At first, I didn't like the fabric back of the boot because I was expecting "leather" shanks. However, after wearing them, I like the softness and flexibility the fabric adds to the boot. If there was another color, I would purchase another pair of these boots.

I like that this is more of a casual boot that I can wear to work and stand/walk all day in comfort. The softer fabric back makes it more comfortable for all day wear and it packs more easily than other boots. The toe box is still a bit narrow but more forgiving than others that I have tried and the arch support is a must for flat feet-no insoles needed. I’m very happy with the purchase.

I love these boots so much, I just ordered another pair! They are beautiful, I receive many compliments on them. They pair well with dresses and leggings, are very comfy, and thats' saying something for my odd, large feet. I love them!

Honestly wasn't sure about them when I pulled them out of the box. The upper is soft, and the fit snug (for my wide feet). But my husband really liked the way they looked, as did my daughter. And I have to admit, they are super-comfortable. I also like the snug fit around my calves and it feels a little like wearing slippers at work. I am delighted I ordered them, and delighted to keep them.

I spent a long time trying to find comfortable yet stylish boots for work this winter. I wasn't sure if I would like a fabric back; seems like the entire boot should just be leather. But I don't notice it, and it must somehow contribute to the overall comfort- because these boots are remarkably comfortable. They also look great with leggings and skirts! Overall, very happy with them.

I LOVE these boots. I have plantar fascitiis and can wear these all day long. The fabric back looks like suede and stretches to wear with tights or jeggings. I'll be sad when winter is over and i have to put them in the closet.

Comfy right out of the box just like all my Danskos, but I was worried about style on these boots given some of the negative reviews. I’m pleased to report that for me these were a hit. The leather and stretch upper did not look cheap in my opinion, but kind of cool actually and it allowed for stretch around my strong calve. I have a high arch so they are a bit snug over the top of my foot, but the leather will give a little in no time for a near custom fit. Luckily, the zipper wasn’t visible from the front on my leg, as some of the other reviewers reported. There is a bit of slack in the ankle, but it doesn’t bother me and it allows full range of movement for my ankle which is a plus. I’m on my feet all day, so I require shoes that feel as good as they look. I tried them on with an a I’ve knee dress and some black tights and found the look to be flattering and stylish. If you like the Dansko fit and in the market for some taller boots, I think these are well worth a try. I’m so glad I tried them myself.

I’ve only had a chance to wear them once. However, I think I could have gone down a half size. I had hoped they would be “leather” all around, versus the fabric in the back, but I love them! I can dress them up or down.I have wide calves and finding boots with wide calves is difficult.

Comfortable, and great that it;'s waterproof but doesn't have APA seal

I love Dansko shoes and this boot does not disappoint. It is one of the most comfortable boots I've ever worn. However, I would have never paid $200.00. I had a $100 credit on my credit card so decided to buy these. When I start paying in excess of $200.00 for a pair of shoes, they need to be made of all natural materials.

Reviews are correct. The shaft runs BIG. Back-side fabric is questionable. A fuller-calf person won’t be disappointed!

Unfortunately, I had to return these boots. I love Dansko shoes and was excited to get these boots for the winter. The shoe itself was fine and I loved the roomy forefoot, but the felt material on the calf side did not have structure and it sagged. This will work for people with wide calves.

Loved the front of the boot but hated the back of it. The back was made of thin suede and is not practical to wear in winter.

I read the reviews and knew there were concerns about the fabric backside. I disregarded them and thought “hey they are Dansko- they have to be better than what they are saying”. NOT. The fabric is very flimsy and not durable at all. Probably will not hold up. And for $200 I expect more. If Dansko’s intent is to create a style with a change in materials I would have gone with a black suede, something durable.

Fit was typical of the size I usually wear in Dankso, which is my primary brand. What was so amazing was the easy zip-up on my calf, which is on the chunky side and makes it challenging to find a boot. Thing is, the height is a bit on the awkward side. it stops almost mid-way of my calf. I'm 5'4", so I'm not tall, nor do I have long legs. It's an odd stopping part. It also makes my calf look even bigger. It should rise at least a full inch or even 2, closer to the knee. Right now, when walking, it drops down even further. I feel like it's a sock wanting to be pulled back up. Fix this issue and I'll be back for a pair, even with them not being fully leather and with the microfiber back. Until then, these have to go back.

So close! The footbed is very comfortable and supportive, foot width is good for me, and overall styling works. I was concerned that with the fabric back they wouldn't be very warm or give much protection from the elements. I could live with that, but the fabric was weirdly stretchy at the top and flopped around, and while one boot fit well around the ankle, the other was baggy. Not sure if this was just a defective pair? Sending them back, with a sigh of disappointment.

Nice boot but runs about 1/2 size too small. I wish they would just make a true size 12M. Otherwise I would have rated it higher.

Flimsy materials, meager zip pull. I only needed to try on one boot to know these are getting returned.
